Thrash metal royalty are bringing one absolutely ridiculous triple-header to arenas across the UK
Cancel your quiet plans, dig out the battle jacket and prepare to start practising those air-guitar solos in the kitchen, because Megadeth are heading back to the UK in March 2027 — and they are bringing Black Label Society and Testament along for the ride.
Yes, butt. Read that line-up again.

That is not merely a concert bill. That is several decades of heavy metal history being loaded into three tour buses and unleashed inside some of Britain’s biggest arenas.
The UK dates form part of Megadeth’s newly announced Breakout: Hibernation Of The Nations European Tour, the latest chapter in the band’s multi-year global farewell run.
The 24-date European arena tour will begin at The O2 Belfast on Tuesday 9 March 2027, travel through the UK and mainland Europe, and finish in Lisbon on Tuesday 13 April.
And praise the riff gods — Cardiff is getting a date.
Someone alert the valleys. Things are about to get very loud.

Megadeth will play eight UK arena shows during March 2027:

- Thursday 11 March 2027 — OVO Arena Wembley, London

- Saturday 13 March 2027 — Co-op Live, Manchester

That is a proper UK run too — none of this “UK tour” nonsense involving London, Manchester and a quick wave from the motorway.
Belfast, Nottingham, Cardiff, Glasgow, Birmingham and Leeds are all invited to the thrash-metal wake.

🐉 Megadeth Are Coming to Cardiff
The Welsh date takes place at Utilita Arena Cardiff on Monday 15 March 2027, and you can already hear thousands of Welsh metalheads frantically checking annual leave, hotel prices and whether their knees can still survive a circle pit.
Cardiff landing a show on a farewell tour of this scale is absolutely massive.
Megadeth have remained one of metal’s most influential and technically ferocious bands for more than four decades. Hearing tracks such as Holy Wars… The Punishment Due, Peace Sells, Hangar 18, Symphony of Destruction, Sweating Bullets and Tornado of Souls echoing around a Welsh arena could be something genuinely special.
There will be riffs.
There will be snarling Dave Mustaine vocals.
There will be at least six blokes in the crowd trying to air-guitar the Marty Friedman solo from Tornado of Souls with varying degrees of accuracy.
Only one will nail it.
He probably lives in Caerphilly.
⚡ “This Isn’t About Saying Goodbye”
Although these dates are part of Megadeth’s farewell tour, Dave Mustaine has made it clear that the shows are intended to feel like a celebration rather than a funeral.
Mustaine said the tour was about celebrating everything Megadeth and their fans have built together across more than four decades, adding that every city and every audience had contributed its own memories to the band’s story.
That distinction matters.
Farewell tours can occasionally feel like sombre victory laps, with everyone spending the evening wondering whether they are witnessing the final performance of each song.
Megadeth appear determined to approach things differently.
This is not meant to be three hours of staring sadly at Vic Rattlehead while someone plays a melancholy slideshow.
This is a celebration of speed, precision, aggression and some of the most outrageous guitar work ever committed to tape.
Megadeth are not shuffling quietly towards the exit.
They are apparently planning to kick the doors off their hinges, play Holy Wars at full volume and leave the building surrounded by smoke.

🎸 Black Label Society Join the Tour
As if a Megadeth farewell show was not already enough reason to start throwing money at the ticketing gods, Black Label Society will provide support throughout the European run.
Led by the unmistakable Zakk Wylde, Black Label Society bring enormous riffs, squealing guitar solos, biker-gang energy and enough facial hair to insulate a small Welsh village.
Wylde remains one of heavy metal’s great larger-than-life characters.
Whether playing with Black Label Society, performing alongside Ozzy Osbourne or tearing through classic Pantera material, he approaches the guitar like it has personally insulted his family.
Tracks including Stillborn, Suicide Messiah, Concrete Jungle and In This River should sound absolutely gigantic inside these arenas.
There is also every chance that Zakk will play one guitar solo long enough for the audience to visit the bar, queue for chips, return to their seats and discover he is still bending the same glorious note.
That is not criticism.
That is value for money.
💀 Testament Complete the Triple Threat
Opening the evening will be Bay Area thrash metal legends Testament, because apparently the organisers looked at Megadeth and Black Label Society and decided the crowd’s neck muscles still had not suffered enough.
Testament are one of thrash metal’s most respected and consistently devastating bands.
With Chuck Billy commanding the stage and the group’s catalogue containing weapons such as Into the Pit, Over the Wall, Practice What You Preach, The New Order and More Than Meets the Eye, this is not an opening act you casually wander in halfway through.
Get there early.
Buy the expensive arena pint beforehand.

When Testament launch into Into the Pit, the clue regarding your expected behaviour is quite literally in the title.
Megadeth described Black Label Society and Testament as bands they hold enormous respect for, with Mustaine saying the package represents decades of heavy music and will create an incredible night for fans.
He is not wrong.
This bill is absolutely stacked.

Megadeth Cyber Army members received the first opportunity to access ticket and VIP package presales from 10am local time on Tuesday 4 August 2026.
The wider general sale begins at 10am on Friday 7 August 2026, with tickets expected to move quickly — particularly for the bigger weekend dates and the emotional final-tour stops.
Available VIP experiences include selected meet-and-greet upgrades, full-band photo opportunities, early entry, premium merchandise and exclusive memorabilia. Exact packages and availability may vary between venues.
