A Riff Report Blog Special – Because the Prince of Darkness deserves a proper send-off 🤘⚰️
“You can’t kill rock ’n’ roll – it’s here to stay.” – Ozzy Osbourne
The world of rock has fallen heartbreakingly silent. 💔
Ozzy Osbourne — Birmingham’s most chaotic son, the godfather of heavy metal, the bat-munching, eyeliner-wearing, reality TV-busting, genre-defining legend — has left this mortal coil. And honestly, we’re not OK.
Whether you grew up headbanging to Paranoid, sobbing to Mama I’m Coming Home, or quoting The Osbournes like scripture — his music has been the chaotic comfort blanket we didn’t know we needed.
And now, as fans around the world light candles, crank the amps, and collectively cry into their leather jackets, there’s one thing we can all do together:
🎤 Leave a tribute to Ozzy in the official online book of condolences. 🎤
Thanks to Birmingham City Council, you can now send your message straight to the heart of Ozzy’s hometown — digitally, loudly, and proudly. Let’s break this down, butt…
📍 Why This Tribute Matters
This isn’t just a digital guestbook. It’s a global love letter to a man who soundtracked our lives and made being weird and loud absolutely beautiful. 💀🎸
It’s a place where we can say:
Thank you, Ozzy. You saved me. You scared my nan. You made me believe in rock ‘n’ roll.
Thousands of fans from every corner of the globe are already filling the page with memories, messages, and mayhem. Now it’s your turn.
🖥️ How to Leave Your Message for Ozzy
Step 1: Go to the Official Birmingham City Council Website
Head to: www.birmingham.gov.uk
Once there, look for the tribute banner or search “Ozzy Osbourne condolence.”
Don’t fall for any dodgy fake sites or bootleg fan pages asking for your pet’s name and debit card. The real deal lives on the council’s official site — tidy and respectful, just like Brum itself. (Alright, maybe not always tidy, but you get the gist.)
Step 2: Fill Out the Tribute Form
You’ll find a simple form asking for:
Your Name Your Message
Boom. That’s it. No log-ins. No fuss. Just pure, unfiltered tribute to the Prince of Darkness himself.
Whether it’s two words or two paragraphs, it’s your chance to speak from the heart — or from the mosh pit.
💬 What Can You Say?
🖤 Think about what Ozzy’s music meant to you:
Did Crazy Train pull you out of a depressive fog?
Did you bond with your dad over Black Sabbath albums?
Did you dress like him for Halloween?
Did Bark at the Moon play as your ringtone for years?
No message is too big, too small, or too mental. Let it rip.
🗨️ “Your voice screamed when I couldn’t. You kept me going.”
— Jess from Swansea
🗨️ “Saw you live in ’96. You forgot where you were but still nailed Iron Man. Icon.”
— Tom, Manchester
🗨️ “Your chaos made mine feel normal. Thanks for that, Oz.”
— Kayla, 33, Wrexham
🗨️ “The bats are safe now, but we’re not. Rest in madness.”
— Anonymous (probably Sharon)
🎸 Why the Online Book Rocks
This isn’t just some sad webpage.
It’s a digital cathedral of rock.
A global wall of noise and love.
A place where people from Tokyo to Treherbert can come together and scream:
OZZY FUCKING OSBOURNE FOREVER. 🕯️
When someone this legendary passes, you don’t just hold a minute’s silence.
You hold a lifetime of riffs.
⚠️ Safety Tip from The Riff Report
Don’t click on scammy sites or “tribute pages” that look like they were built by a Nokia 3310. Always go through the official Birmingham City Council site — no batwing-shaped viruses, thank you very much.
🖤 Our Message to the Osbourne Family
From The Riff Report team to Sharon, Kelly, Jack, and the rest of the family — Diolch, from the bottom of our rock ‘n’ roll hearts.
Thanks for sharing Ozzy with the world.
Thanks for letting him be mad, magical, and mortal.
And thanks for letting us say goodbye in our own noisy way.
🙏 Final Thoughts: The Legend Never Dies
Ozzy Osbourne isn’t gone.
He’s in every riff.
He’s in every fan’s tattoo.
He’s in every teenager screaming Mr. Crowley through a bedroom amp in 2025.
He’s in Birmingham’s soul and in our Spotify queues forever.
Rock isn’t clean. It isn’t perfect. It’s not supposed to be.
But Ozzy made it glorious.
And we’ll never stop shouting his name.
