Planning your Victorious Festival 2026 adventure? Whether you’re pitching up under the Portsmouth sky or going all out with a comfy upgrade, here’s everything you need to know before packing your tent, loading your playlist, and heading down to the seaside.
🌊 WHERE TO CAMP – THE LOWDOWN
Because Victorious takes place in the heart of Southsea Common, there’s no onsite camping right by the main arena. Instead, the official campsite sits at Farlington Fields, just a short drive away on the outskirts of Portsmouth.
It’s a proper setup too — think showers, coffee stalls, food vendors, 24-hour security, and a dedicated shuttle bus running back and forth all weekend. The vibe? A mix of chilled families, hardcore rockers, and late-night acoustic singalongs that somehow blend with the distant sound of seagulls.
Getting there:
Farlington Fields is easy to reach off the motorway, and shuttle buses run between there and Southsea Common throughout the day (and deep into the night). It can get very busy after the headliners finish, so plan for queues or a cheeky early exit if you hate long waits.
Campsite opening times (based on previous years):
- Thursday – 13:00 (early arrivals welcome)
- Friday – 08:00
- Saturday – 08:00
- Closes Monday – around midday
There are zones for general camping, family camping, accessible camping, and even a campervan area for those who prefer their own wheels and walls.
🚫 RULES, FACILITIES & WHAT TO EXPECT
The facilities are well-run and regularly cleaned, with separate toilets, showers, and first-aid points. You’ll also find a small market area selling food, coffee, and those inevitable “forgot my toothbrush” essentials.
A few house rules:
- No glass bottles (stick to cans or plastic).
- No big fires or gas canisters.
- Generators and massive sound systems are a no-go.
- Parking costs extra – not included with your camping ticket.
Security is friendly but firm, and you’ll find plenty of staff on hand if you need a hand with accessibility or family requirements.
🎸 LOCAL ADVICE FROM FESTIVAL REGULARS
If you’re camping, brace for a bit of travel time each night. Many seasoned fans recommend catching the second-to-last band of the day and heading for the shuttle before the final encore to skip the crowds.
Not sure you want to camp at all? You’re in luck — Victorious sits right next to central Portsmouth, so hotels and B&Bs are plentiful. If you prefer a warm bed and hot breakfast, you can easily commute to and from the festival each day.
✨ UPGRADES – TURNING YOUR WEEKEND INTO A VIP EXPERIENCE
Victorious Festival is known for its affordable ticket prices, but if you’re feeling fancy (or just want to avoid queueing for the loos), you can bolt on one of two official upgrades:
💎 The Gardens Upgrade
A serene space away from the crowds with a private bar, viewing lawn, and access to a viewing platform for a clearer sightline to the main stage. Perfect for those who love the music but prefer a bit of personal space.
🌴 The Hideaway Upgrade
Think festival chill-out zone meets boutique lounge — comfy seating, exclusive toilets, a private bar, and separate entrance access. There’s no guaranteed stage view, but it’s an oasis when you need to escape the madness.
Important: You still need a standard entry ticket. These upgrades are add-ons, not replacements.
🧠 IS IT WORTH UPGRADING?
It depends on your vibe. Some regulars swear by it for the comfort and cleaner facilities, while others think the real magic happens in the main field with the crowd.
“The toilets are better, sure, but you miss that chaotic energy. I wouldn’t personally pay for any VIP upgrade now,” said one fan on the E-Festivals forum.
If you’re there for non-stop front-row energy, save your cash. But if you’re filming, blogging, or just need to recharge between sets — an upgrade could be your best friend.
🎮 NERD TIP FOR BLOGGERS, STREAMERS & CONTENT CREATORS
If you’re capturing content for your blog, vlog, or social media, you’ve got two solid options:
- Camping: great for capturing community vibes, sunrise shots, and late-night singalongs that show the soul of the festival.
- Upgrades: perfect for filming cleaner, steadier footage with less crowd interference.
A hybrid strategy works best — crash in a local hotel for the comfort, then grab a Gardens Upgrade for premium access during the main sets.
