🎸🌞 TYKETTO ANNOUNCE 6TH ALBUM CLOSER TO THE SUN & DROP SKY-SOARING NEW SINGLE ‘HIGHER THAN HIGH’! 🌞🎸Their first studio album in a decade — and mun, the wait was WORTH IT! 🤘🔥
What’s occurring, rockers? Strap yourself in because the melodic rock legends Tyketto have risen like a phoenix with better hair and brighter riffs. After ten long years of studio silence, the band have finally announced their 6th album, titled Closer To The Sun — and they’ve celebrated by dropping a brand-new single that flies so high, NASA probably has questions. 🚀✨
Welcome to another shouty, silly, and slightly caffeinated instalment of The Riff Report. Grab a pint, crank the volume, and let’s dive in. 🍺🎶
🌞 CLOSER TO THE SUN — TYKETTO’S FIRST ALBUM IN TEN YEARS
A whole decade, butt. Ten years without a new Tyketto record. That’s longer than:
- The lifespan of most festival wristbands 😅
- Three generations of Download mud
- At least five “rock is dead” arguments online
But the drought is done, mun! Closer To The Sun is coming in hot — shimmering with big melodies, heartfelt lyrics, and that signature Tyketto warmth you can practically sunbathe in.
Danny Vaughn’s voice? Still smoother than a freshly polished Les Paul.
The band? Tighter than your tent ropes after Storm Gareth.
The vibe? AOR bliss. Proper job! 😎🔥
🎶 ‘HIGHER THAN HIGH’ — THE COMEBACK SINGLE THAT KICKS THE DOORS IN
The first taste of the new era comes in the form of ‘Higher Than High’, a tune that absolutely does what it says on the tin.
Let’s break it down:
🎤 Vocals: Vaughn sounds like he’s been sipping honey and sunshine.
🎸 Guitars: The riffs glide like a Red Kite over the Brecon Beacons.
🥁 Drums: Big, bold, and confident — like someone stomping into a pub knowing the jukebox is theirs.
🌈 Chorus: You’ll be howling it at the top of your lungs by the second listen. Maybe the first.
This isn’t just a comeback single — this is Tyketto walking into the room with a grin like: “Miss us, did you?”
And yes, Danny. Yes, we did.
🗓️ ALBUM DETAILS (SO FAR…)
We don’t have the full tracklist or release date yet — typical rockstar teasing — but here’s what’s confirmed:
- Title: Closer To The Sun
- Album #6 in their catalogue
- First new studio album in 10 years
- Single: ‘Higher Than High’ OUT NOW
- Vibes: Sunny, uplifting, melodic, and absolutely lush
As soon as the band drop more info, you KNOW we’ll have it up quicker than you can shout “YESS MUN!” 🤘🔥
🎤 ANY TOUR NEWS?
Nothing official yet, but come on — do we really think Tyketto are dropping a decade-in-the-making album without hitting the road?
If they don’t tour, I’ll be tamping.
But the smart money says we’re about to get:
- UK shows
- European dates
- A festival run (Steelhouse? Planet Rockstock? Download? 👀)
- And maybe even some extra-special anniversary moments
When those dates hit, the Riff Report crew will be front row, singing our lungs out and spilling our pints.
🤘 FINAL THOUGHTS
This is the comeback we didn’t just want — we NEEDED.
Tyketto are back, shining bright, and absolutely smashing it with a single that lifts you “Higher Than High” and leaves you grinning like a loon.
Only in Wales, mun, would a comeback single feel like summer arriving early. 🌞🏴
Stay tuned to The Riff Report for all updates on the album, tour news, and future Tyketto chaos.
Diolch and rock on, butt! 🤘🔥
