The new single takes inspiration from George Orwellโs legendary dystopian novel 1984, and the band arenโt exactly subtle about the message.
The Piesiak brothers explained:
โThe lyrics were inspired by George Orwellโs novel โ1984โ. This timeless work carries a profound message about our existence โ or perhaps stagnation โ within society. The song is a call to remain relentless in the fight against an invisible enemy that affects every human being in the world.โ
And you can FEEL that tension throughout the track.
โ1984โ is packed with suffocating atmosphere, pounding groove, razor-tight rhythmic attacks, and massive emotional weight. It feels less like a song and more like being trapped inside a collapsing cyberpunk surveillance state while somebody drops a seven-string guitar on your chest. Proper job. ๐ ๐ฅ

THE MATERIA are currently preparing to release their brand-new album on August 28, 2026, during the 14th edition of Materiafest.
The record was self-recorded by the band, while mixing and mastering duties were handled by Konrad Janiszewski, known for his work with Heresy Denied and Sour Blood.
