THREE BANDS. THREE UK CITIES. ONE EPIC EUROPEAN METAL TOUR. GET READY FOR SOME SERIOUS RIFFS! 🎸🔥

Progressive metal outfit SUBMASQ are preparing to hit British stages in January 2027, joining Italian symphonic power metal legends RHAPSODY OF FIRE and German melodic power metal heavyweights SERIOUS BLACK as part of the Motocultor Across Europe Tour.

The tour will bring the three bands together for a series of concerts across Europe, including three UK performances in London, Manchester and Wolverhampton.

For fans who love soaring vocals, intricate guitar work, thunderous rhythms and music that isn’t afraid to venture beyond conventional rock arrangements, this promises to be a particularly exciting touring package.

And here at The Riff Report, we’re always delighted to see international metal acts bringing their music to British venues.

Especially when the bill combines established names with artists deserving of greater recognition.

POWER METAL MEETS PROGRESSIVE METAL, AND THE UK IS ABOUT TO GET LOUD! 🤘

📅 Motocultor Across Europe Tour 2027 – UK Dates

Three UK concerts have been announced for January 2027: Date City Venue Monday 11 January 2027 London The Underworld Tuesday 12 January 2027 Manchester Rebellion Wednesday 13 January 2027 Wolverhampton KK’s Steel Mill

The shows will feature Rhapsody Of Fire, Serious Black and Submasq.

With three consecutive nights scheduled, British metal fans have a choice of venues across England.

And for those willing to travel, this is an opportunity to catch three international acts on the same bill.

🎭 SUBMASQ – Progressive Metal With Atmosphere And Ambition

Submasq bring a progressive metal dimension to the touring package.

Progressive metal has always been a genre that rewards musicians willing to experiment.

Rather than relying exclusively on straightforward song structures, progressive artists frequently explore changing rhythms, atmospheric arrangements, contrasting musical passages and ambitious compositions.

Submasq operate within this creative territory, combining progressive influences with a modern metal identity.

Their music is an interesting addition to a tour otherwise strongly associated with melodic and symphonic power metal.

For audiences unfamiliar with the band, these concerts offer an opportunity to discover their material in the environment where heavy music often makes its greatest impact.

On stage, with the amplifiers turned up and the crowd right in front of them.

The band’s website, www.spiritanimalalbum.com, provides a starting point for listeners wanting to explore their music ahead of the tour.

And for independent and emerging artists, opportunities to perform alongside established international names can be particularly valuable.

It’s exactly the kind of exposure that helps introduce bands to new audiences.

⚔️ RHAPSODY OF FIRE – Italian Symphonic Power Metal Royalty

If you’re familiar with European power metal, Rhapsody Of Fire need little introduction.

Formed in Italy in the 1990s, the band became one of the most influential names in symphonic power metal.

Originally known as Rhapsody, they developed a distinctive musical style combining heavy metal guitar work with orchestral arrangements, classical influences and fantasy-inspired storytelling.

Their early recordings helped establish a sound that would influence countless power metal bands.

Albums such as Legendary Tales, Symphony Of Enchanted Lands and Dawn Of Victory remain important releases in the genre’s history.

🎸 A Musical World Of Dragons, Warriors And Epic Battles

Rhapsody Of Fire have never been particularly interested in keeping things small.

Their music frequently explores fantasy worlds, heroic adventures and elaborate musical narratives.

Expect fast guitar passages, powerful drumming, orchestral textures and soaring melodies.

Songs such as ‘Emerald Sword’, ‘Dawn Of Victory’ and ‘Holy Thunderforce’ have become favourites among symphonic power metal fans.

And when those enormous choruses arrive, the atmosphere can become something special.

For anyone who enjoys metal with a cinematic sense of adventure, Rhapsody Of Fire are a band worth experiencing live.

🔥 SERIOUS BLACK – German Power Metal Firepower

Joining the tour are German power metal outfit Serious Black.

Formed in 2013, the band have established themselves within the European melodic metal scene through their combination of powerful guitar work, memorable choruses and energetic performances.

Their debut album, As Daylight Breaks, arrived in 2015 and introduced audiences to their melodic approach.

Further releases helped build their reputation among power metal enthusiasts.

The band have continued developing their sound through albums including Mirrorworld, Magic, Suite 226, Vengeance Is Mine and Rise Of Akhenaton.

🎤 Big Melodies And Bigger Choruses

Serious Black specialise in the kind of metal that works particularly well in a live setting.

Their songs combine driving rhythms with melodic hooks, giving audiences plenty of opportunities to sing along.

For fans who appreciate traditional European power metal, their addition to the tour is particularly appealing.

Together with Rhapsody Of Fire and Submasq, they help create a bill that spans several different approaches to melodic heavy music.

🏟️ Three Venues, Three Nights Of Metal

🇬🇧 11 January – The Underworld, London

Situated in Camden, is one of London’s best-known grassroots rock and metal venues.

Its intimate setting has made it a popular destination for heavy music fans, with audiences able to experience performances at close quarters.

For Submasq, Serious Black and Rhapsody Of Fire, the London date offers an opportunity to connect with one of Britain’s most established alternative music communities.

🤘 12 January – Rebellion, Manchester

Manchester’s has become a familiar destination for touring rock, punk and metal acts.

The venue’s reputation for energetic performances makes it a fitting stop for this touring package.

Manchester has a passionate heavy music community, and the combination of progressive and power metal should appeal to fans across the region.

🔥 13 January – KK’s Steel Mill, Wolverhampton

The final UK performance takes place at .

The venue has established itself as an important destination for rock and metal concerts in the West Midlands.

For fans travelling from Birmingham, the Black Country and surrounding areas, the Wolverhampton date provides another opportunity to experience the tour.

And with the West Midlands’ extraordinary connection to the birth of heavy metal, it’s a particularly appropriate place to conclude the British run.

After all, this is the region that gave the world Black Sabbath.

You can’t argue with that sort of metal heritage! 🤘

🎶 Why This Tour Is Worth Watching

One of the most interesting things about the Motocultor Across Europe Tour is the musical variety.

Rhapsody Of Fire bring elaborate symphonic arrangements and fantasy-inspired power metal.

Serious Black offer melodic heavy metal with powerful choruses.

Submasq contribute a progressive approach, adding another dimension to the evening.

It’s a combination that could introduce audiences to music they might not otherwise discover.

And that’s one of the greatest things about attending a concert with several bands on the bill.

You might arrive to see one particular artist and leave with two new favourites.

🐉 What About Welsh Metalheads?

Unfortunately, the three announced UK performances do not include a Welsh date.

But for fans travelling from Cardiff, Newport, Swansea, Bridgend and Port Talbot, Wolverhampton may be a practical option.

And with the West Midlands’ longstanding heavy metal heritage, it could make for a cracking night out.

Here at The Riff Report, we’re particularly passionate about supporting artists who are working hard to reach new audiences.

Tours like this provide an important opportunity for bands to introduce their music to British fans.

And we’d certainly encourage anyone attending to arrive early and support every artist on the bill.

Don’t just turn up for the headliner, butt. You might discover your next favourite band! 🐉🎸

🐉 The Riff Report Says…

THREE NIGHTS OF EUROPEAN METAL, THREE VERY DIFFERENT BANDS AND PLENTY OF REASONS TO GET EXCITED! 🤘🔥

The Motocultor Across Europe Tour is shaping up to be an appealing proposition for fans of progressive, symphonic and melodic power metal.

Rhapsody Of Fire bring decades of experience and an extraordinary catalogue of fantasy-inspired metal.

Serious Black add their own brand of powerful melodies and driving guitar work.

And Submasq have an opportunity to introduce their music to audiences across Britain.

For us, that’s one of the most important aspects of tours like this.

Established bands help bring audiences through the doors, while other artists gain valuable exposure.

And sometimes, those opening performances become the ones people remember long after the night has finished.

With concerts scheduled in London, Manchester and Wolverhampton, January 2027 is already looking promising for British metal fans.

THREE CITIES. THREE BANDS. ONE TOUR.

LET THE METAL MAYHEM BEGIN! 🎸🔥🤘

Keep it loud. Keep it heavy. Keep supporting independent and grassroots music.

Michael

🎸 About Michael Michael is the founder, editor and chief riff wrangler of The Riff Report, an independent Welsh rock, metal and alternative music publication built by fans, for fans. A lifelong rock and metal fan, Michael has spent years immersed in the music, culture and community that surround the heavier side of life. From discovering new bands and digging through classic albums to standing in muddy festival fields, squeezing into packed venues and spending far too much time near the front of a stage, music has always been much more than background noise — it is a massive part of who he is. That passion eventually became The Riff Report, a publication created to celebrate the bands, artists, venues, festivals, photographers, promoters and fans who keep the rock and metal world turning. Michael spends much of the year covering gigs, festivals, tours, album releases, new singles, interviews and music news, with a camera never too far away and a press pass usually hanging somewhere around his neck. Whether it is a huge arena show, a major outdoor festival or a tiny grassroots venue packed with people discovering their new favourite band, he believes every part of the scene has stories worth telling. For Michael, one of the biggest joys of music journalism is being able to shine a light on artists at every level. The Riff Report is just as interested in the hungry independent band playing to 50 people as it is in the global act headlining to 50,000. Supporting unsigned, independent and grassroots musicians is a huge part of the publication’s identity, because every legendary band started somewhere. Sometimes the next big thing is not on a massive billboard or a major-label playlist — sometimes they are crammed onto a tiny stage in a pub, plugging in their own gear and hoping somebody in the room remembers their name. Michael wants The Riff Report to be one of the places that remembers.
