Face Value
Returns in Style
Originally released in 1981, Face Value marked Phil Collins’ first step into the spotlight as a solo artist after years behind the drum kit with Genesis.
It wasn’t just a successful debut—it became a worldwide phenomenon.
Blending rock, pop, soul and deeply personal songwriting, the album showcased Collins at his most vulnerable and creative, helping define the sound of an entire decade.
Now, the album is returning as an impressive deluxe vinyl box set featuring newly remastered audio, premium packaging and bonus material designed to celebrate one of the most influential albums ever pressed onto vinyl.
For collectors, it’s exactly the sort of release that deserves pride of place in the record collection.
🥁 The Album That Changed Everything
It’s impossible to talk about Face Value without mentioning the song that changed Phil Collins’ career forever…
🌩️
In The Air Tonight
Arguably one of the most iconic songs ever recorded, its haunting atmosphere, emotional lyrics and that legendary drum fill have become part of rock folklore.
Even decades later, the track continues to appear in films, television, sporting events and playlists around the world.
But Face Value is much more than one famous song.
The album is packed with timeless classics including:
- 🎹 I Missed Again
- ❤️ If Leaving Me Is Easy
- 🎵 Behind the Lines
- 🌙 Thunder and Lightning
- 🎤 You Know What I Mean
- 💔 This Must Be Love
- 🎼 Tomorrow Never Knows
Each track demonstrates Collins’ remarkable ability to blend raw emotion with unforgettable melodies.
🎸 More Than Just Pop
Although Phil Collins often found himself dominating the pop charts, his influence stretches far beyond mainstream radio.
His songwriting has inspired generations of musicians across rock, progressive rock, alternative and even metal.
The production techniques introduced on Face Value helped shape the sound of the 1980s, while Collins’ honest approach to songwriting proved that vulnerability could fill stadiums just as easily as guitar solos.
That’s why albums like this continue to resonate decades later.
💿 A Must-Have for Vinyl Fans
Vinyl has enjoyed an incredible resurgence in recent years, and releases like this show exactly why.
Rather than simply repressing a classic album, this deluxe edition celebrates the legacy of Face Value by giving fans something genuinely new alongside beautifully presented packaging and remastered sound.
