Turn the volume up, crack open a cold one and prepare for some proper South Wales riff worship, butt!
After what has felt like a lifetime of waiting, Heavy on the Ride are finally ready to unleash their self-titled debut album, landing everywhere on 24th July 2026.
For anyone who’s caught these lads tearing up stages across South Wales over the last few years, you’ll know exactly why this release has been so eagerly anticipated. Heavy on the Ride have built a reputation the old-fashioned way—playing loud, playing hard and winning over audiences one crushing riff at a time.
Now those riffs have finally been captured on record.
🎸 Ten Tracks of Pure Welsh Rock Power
The self-titled album delivers 10 tracks packed with gigantic guitars, thunderous grooves and melodies that’ll stay lodged in your head long after the final note fades.
This isn’t an album interested in following trends.
It’s built on heavyweight riffs, soaring harmonies and groove-filled rock ‘n’ roll that feels equally at home shaking festival fields, sweaty club venues or your car speakers during the morning commute.
From the explosive opening punch of “On Deaf Ears” to the emotional and uplifting finale “Catharsis,” Heavy on the Ride showcase exactly why they’ve become one of South Wales’ most respected underground rock acts.
The band effortlessly shifts between hypnotic rhythms, expansive soundscapes and full-throttle guitar assaults, creating an album that never stands still.
Expect:
- 🎸 Monster-sized guitar riffs
- 🥁 Earth-shaking grooves
- 🎤 Massive vocal melodies
- ⚡ Stadium-sized energy
- 🤘 Rock ‘n’ roll with absolutely no compromises
It’s bold, it’s loud and it’s exactly what modern riff rock should sound like.
🏴 Proudly Flying the Flag for Welsh Rock
South Wales has always punched well above its weight when it comes to producing incredible rock bands, and Heavy on the Ride are proudly carrying that tradition forward.
There’s an honesty to their music that comes from years of hard work on the live circuit. Every riff feels earned. Every chorus feels built for a crowd. Every groove is designed to get heads nodding and horns raised.
If you’ve been looking for your next favourite Welsh rock band, this might just be them.
