Well mun, here’s a piece of metal history you can literally wear on your finger. A solid silver ring, specially crafted for the mighty Black Sabbath boys – Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Bill Ward, and Geezer Butler – is about to hit the auction block. And no, it’s not one of those tacky knock-off merch jobs you find outside a gig; this beauty was made with Sabbath’s blessing.

⚒️ The Story Behind the Silver

Enigmatic artist Jagga – the kind of bloke who makes jewellery with more riffs than a Tony Iommi solo – designed a set of six rings to mark Sabbath’s monumental Back to the Beginning concert at Villa Park on 5th July.

  • Four rings went straight to the legends themselves: Ozzy, Tony, Bill, and Geezer.
  • One was kept as a spare.
  • And now that very spare is going under the hammer.

These aren’t just shiny bits of metal. Each ring is decked out with:

  • The Black Sabbath band name 🖤
  • The Aston Villa lion crest 🦁 (because you can’t play Villa Park without paying tribute)
  • The year 1968, when Sabbath first shook the world from the dark heart of Birmingham ⚡

It’s Sabbath history, Brummie pride, and heavy metal all smashed into one silver circle.

💸 The Auction

This rare beast is heading to Hansons Auctioneers’ TV memorabilia and music sale on Wednesday, 17th September. Experts reckon it’ll fetch somewhere between £1,200 and £1,500 – tidy money for a ring, but let’s be honest, you can’t put a price on Sabbath magic.

Claire Howell, Hansons’ music memorabilia expert, said:

“Music fan Jagga designed these rings for Ozzy Osbourne personally to celebrate the Back to the Beginningconcert after speaking to the agent of the band’s bassist Terence ‘Geezer’ Butler. He made one for each band member and a spare. This is a rare and unique opportunity to buy this last remaining ring. Given the close timing to Ozzy’s sad death just over a fortnight later, the gesture is all the more poignant.”

🖤 A Poignant Reminder

And that’s the heartbreaker here. Just days after that triumphant Villa Park show, Ozzy passed away, leaving this ring not just as a collector’s item, but as one of the final personal tributes made in his honour.

To own this ring is to own a slice of Sabbath’s soul – a connection back to the day the godfathers of heavy metal came home, played to their people, and left the world one last thunderous reminder of why they’ll never be matched.

🤘 Final Riff

So, if you’ve got a spare grand and a half lying about, maybe skip the holiday in Benidorm and grab yourself the last unclaimed Sabbath ring. It’s not just jewellery – it’s a relic of rock’s darkest, heaviest, and most glorious dynasty.

What do you reckon butt – would you splash the cash for Ozzy’s silver crown, or would you be too scared of summoning a demon every time you wore it? 😈💍
