Hold onto your hats – and your T-shirts – because SKINDRED are storming the seaside and dragging their mighty Detour tour to Tenby! That’s right, the UK’s most genre-bending, pit-starting, shirt-spinning legends are bringing their trademark chaos to the De Valence Pavilion on Friday 17th October 2025, and it’s shaping up to be the loudest thing to hit Pembrokeshire since that one dodgy fireworks night in 2009. 🧨💥
🎸 WHO ARE SKINDRED?
If you don’t already know, where’ve you been, butt? Skindred are the unofficial national treasure of Welsh rock. Fusing ragga, metal, punk, dub, and enough swagger to make a peacock look shy, they’ve been tearing up stages since the early 2000s. Fronted by the one and only Benji Webbe, they don’t do “shows” – they do full-blown live explosions. Expect walls of riffs, crowd-surfing carnage, and the almighty Newport Helicopter – a tradition where the whole crowd whips their tops off and spins them like sweaty rotor blades. (It’s exactly as mad and glorious as it sounds.) 🚁
📍 THE VENUE: DE VALENCE PAVILION, TENBY
Located in the heart of one of Wales’ prettiest seaside towns, De Valence Pavilion is more used to family pantos and community events than ragga-metal riots. But not this October. Skindred are about to blow the roof off this coastal gem. It’s giving: bucket and spade by day, circle pit by night. Only in Wales, mun… 🏖️🥁
🗓️ WHEN IS IT?
Friday 17th October 2025
Smack-bang in the middle of spooky season, but there’ll be no jump scares here – just pure basslines, metal chaos, and smiles as wide as the Tenby shoreline.

- 🍻 Pre-drinks in a pub that doesn’t realise what’s coming
- 🎶 Rock out with Skindred
- 🍕 Post-gig kebab + rehydration
- 🛌 Crash out in a local B&B with ears ringing and heart full
There’s no better excuse for a cheeky weekend away with the crew.
🎟️ FINAL THOUGHTS: DON’T BE A MUCKY PUP, GET YOUR TICKET
Skindred don’t do bad shows. Ever. This isn’t just a tour date – it’s a Welsh homecoming party in a town that won’t know what hit it. If you’ve ever screamed along to Pressure or been caught mid-air during Rat Race, you know how vital this night’s gonna be. If you haven’t – now’s your time to see the light.
So c’mon, let’s show Tenby what a proper live rock show looks like. Grab your ticket, warm up your neck, and remember – when Benji says “shirts off,” you better spin that bad boy like your life depends on it. 🌀

Michael is the founder, editor, and chief riff wrangler behind The Riff Report, an independent Welsh rock and metal publication built by fans, for fans. With a lifelong passion for loud guitars, unforgettable live shows, and the incredible community that surrounds rock and metal, he created The Riff Report to celebrate everything that makes the scene special—from legendary headline acts and grassroots venues to rising bands that deserve to be heard.
A familiar face at festivals across the UK, Michael spends much of the year covering events including Download Festival, Bloodstock Open Air, Steelhouse Festival, Firevolt, Plumpton Revival, and many more. Whether he’s battling the Welsh weather on a mountainside, surviving a weekend in a muddy campsite, or squeezed against the front barrier with thousands of fellow fans, he’s always searching for the next great story to share.
As editor of The Riff Report, Michael writes festival guides, breaking news, album reviews, gig reviews, interviews, opinion pieces, nostalgia features, and behind-the-scenes stories from across the rock and metal world. His writing combines honest opinions, humour, and a genuine love for live music, bringing readers closer to the bands, festivals, venues, and people that keep the scene alive.
Michael is particularly passionate about supporting independent artists, local venues, charities, and the wider UK rock and metal community. He believes every band deserves a chance to be discovered and every festival has a story worth telling. Through The Riff Report, he aims to shine a spotlight on both the biggest names in rock and the future stars waiting to break through.
When he’s not writing or interviewing artists, you’ll probably find him exploring festival campsites, photographing live shows, chatting with fellow fans over a pint, or planning the next road trip in search of more riffs, bigger crowds, and unforgettable moments.
Above all, Michael believes rock and metal are about more than music—they’re about community, friendship, and creating memories that last a lifetime. That’s exactly what The Riff Report exists to celebrate.
Proudly Welsh. Proudly Loud. Always chasing the next great riff. 🤘
