๐Ÿ”ฅ 2027 Line-Up: Already announced and growing

Get the tent ready, prepare the vocal cords and start emotionally preparing yourself for several days of screaming along to bands in a Gloucestershire field because 2000trees Festival returns from Wednesday 7 to Saturday 10 July 2027.

And this isn’t just another year at Upcote Farm.

2000trees is celebrating its 20th anniversary.

Two decades of independent festivals.

Two decades of grassroots discoveries.

Two decades of punk, emo, hardcore, alternative rock, post-hardcore and completely unexpected bands appearing in the woods.

And judging by the 2027 line-up already taking shape, they’re planning to celebrate properly.

Don Broco.

Funeral For A Friend.

Neck Deep.

Sunny Day Real Estate.

Thursday.

Glassjaw.

Marmozets.

High Vis.

Lambrini Girls.

The Bronx.

Superheaven.

Arcane Roots.

Mallory Knox.

And that’s only scratching the surface.

Welcome back to Trees. ๐ŸŒฒ๐Ÿค˜

๐ŸŽ‚ Twenty Years Of 2000trees

2000trees was created in 2007 by a group of festival veterans who wanted to build the sort of event they actually wanted to attend.

Something independent.

Something friendly.

Something manageable.

Something where the music mattered more than endless corporate nonsense.

That basic idea worked rather well.

Over the years, 2000trees has developed from an ambitious independent gathering into one of Britain’s most respected alternative music festivals.

But crucially?

It still feels like Trees.

The site remains comparatively compact.

Grassroots bands continue to matter.

The forest remains part of the magic.

The campsite community is still a massive part of the weekend.

And the festival continues booking artists that sit slightly outside the predictable summer-festival conveyor belt.

The 2027 edition marks twenty years since the festival began, making this a proper landmark weekend.

Expect nostalgia.

Expect surprises.

Expect returning favourites.

And expect at least one moment where someone says:

โ€œI’ve been coming here since…โ€

before everybody else immediately attempts to work out how old they are.

๐Ÿ”ฅ 2000trees Festival 2027 Line-Up

The 2027 line-up is already absolutely stacked.

…and loads more.

And because this is Trees, there’s a very real possibility that the band you end up talking about all weekend isn’t even one of the biggest names on that list.

๐Ÿ‰ Funeral For A Friend Fly The Welsh Flag

There’s an extra reason for us here at The Riff Report to get excited about the 2027 bill.

Funeral For A Friend are back at Trees. ๐Ÿ‰

The Welsh post-hardcore heroes remain one of Cymru’s most important contributions to the alternative music explosion of the 2000s, with records like Casually Dressed & Deep In Conversation, Hours and Tales Don’t Tell Themselves permanently woven into a generation of rock fans.

Their recent live resurgence has reminded everyone just how massive those songs still sound.

And at 2000trees?

Surrounded by an audience that absolutely knows every word?

That has singalong carnage written all over it.

Cymru am byth.

Preferably screamed over a massive guitar riff.

๐Ÿค˜ Neck Deep Bring The Pop-Punk Anthems

Another Welsh connection comes from Neck Deep.

Emerging from Wrexham and growing into one of the UK’s biggest modern pop-punk exports, Neck Deep have gone from bedrooms and tiny venues to major international festivals and headline tours.

Their combination of enormous hooks, high-energy performances and songs designed specifically for thousands of people to shout together makes them perfect Trees material.

Expect crowd surfers.

Expect bouncing.

Expect emotional twenty-somethings suddenly feeling sixteen again.

And expect Wales to be making plenty of noise in Gloucestershire.

๐Ÿ–ค Sunny Day Real Estate

For fans of alternative music history, Sunny Day Real Estate are a massive booking.

The Seattle band are widely regarded as one of the most influential names in the development of emo and alternative rock during the 1990s.

Their landmark album Diary helped shape an entire movement.

And that influence runs directly through countless bands that later found homes at festivals like 2000trees.

Getting Sunny Day Real Estate into a field filled with emo, post-hardcore and alternative fans feels extremely appropriate.

Expect plenty of musicians in the audience watching this one.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Thursday

Then you’ve got Thursday.

Few bands are more tightly connected to the early-2000s post-hardcore explosion.

Records such as Full Collapse and War All The Time helped define an era while pushing punk and hardcore into more ambitious territory.

Their influence on modern alternative music is enormous.

At Trees, they’re going to be surrounded by exactly the sort of crowd that understands that history.

Translation:

This could get emotional.

๐Ÿ’ฅ Glassjaw

Glassjaw add another huge dose of cult post-hardcore history.

Their mixture of aggression, melody, groove and completely unpredictable energy made them one of the genre’s most influential names.

Glassjaw aren’t the sort of band that appears everywhere.

So when they do?

Pay attention.

This is exactly the kind of booking that makes 2000trees line-ups stand apart.

โšก Don Broco

Don Broco know how to turn a festival crowd into organised chaos.

Huge choruses.

Electronic elements.

Massive riffs.

Ridiculous energy.

Songs that somehow make thousands of people behave as though cardio is suddenly enjoyable.

They’ve become one of Britain’s most reliable modern rock live acts, and their return to Trees fits perfectly into a festival celebrating twenty years of alternative music.

Hydrate first.

You’re going to be moving.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Marmozets Return

Seeing Marmozets back on a festival poster is another reason to smile.

The Yorkshire alternative rockers built a fearsome reputation through their unpredictable mixture of mathy riffs, punk energy, enormous vocals and songs that never seemed particularly interested in behaving normally.

They’re chaotic.

Technical.

Catchy.

And exactly the sort of band Trees crowds tend to adopt immediately.

Welcome back.

๐ŸŒณ The Forest Sessions

One of the things that separates 2000trees from almost every other festival is the Forest Sessions.

Hidden among the trees, the woodland stage provides one of the most distinctive live-music environments on the UK festival circuit.

Artists perform alternative sets.

Acoustic songs.

Stripped-back performances.

Unexpected collaborations.

Occasionally something completely ridiculous.

And because everything is happening inside an actual wooded area, even familiar songs can feel completely different.

It’s atmospheric.

It’s intimate.

And by Friday night, it’s usually packed.

Our advice?

Don’t wait until one of your favourite artists is playing there before investigating.

Go exploring.

The forest is where some of Trees’ best surprises happen.

๐ŸŽช Multiple Stages Without An Expedition

2000trees packs a surprising amount of music into a relatively compact festival site.

Main performance areas include:

๐Ÿ”ฅ Main Stage

๐Ÿ’€ The Cave

๐ŸŽธ The Axiom

โšก Neu Stage

๐ŸŒฒ Forest Sessions

๐ŸŽค The Word Stage

Each has its own character.

The Main Stage handles the biggest performances.

The Cave gets properly heavy.

The Axiom hosts everything from alternative rock to punk and experimental sounds.

Neu provides another home for emerging talent.

The Forest does its magical woodland thing.

And The Word Stage expands Trees beyond traditional live-band sets.

The whole site is relatively compact compared with giant outdoor festivals.

Which means less hiking.

More bands.

Exactly what we want.

๐ŸŒฑ Discover Your Next Favourite Band

Here’s the golden rule of 2000trees:

Don’t only watch bands you’ve heard of.

Seriously.

Trees has built its reputation partly because it books developing artists before everybody else catches up.

Scroll down the poster.

Find three names you don’t recognise.

Give them twenty minutes.

That unknown lunchtime band might end up producing your favourite set of the festival.

And there is nothing better than discovering somebody in a tiny tent before they start moving steadily higher up festival posters.

Well…

There is one thing better.

Telling your mates several years later:

โ€œSaw them at Trees before they got massive.โ€

Absolutely unbearable behaviour.

But completely justified.

โ›บ Camping At 2000trees

2000trees is a proper camping festival.

Standard camping is included with weekend tickets unless your ticket specifically states otherwise.

Three-day ticket holders can arrive from Thursday morning, while four-day ticket holders get access from Wednesday lunchtime.

There are several different camping options and areas depending on what sort of weekend you’re after.

Want the full traditional festival experience?

General camping.

Bringing the kids?

Family camping.

Need accessibility facilities?

Dedicated accessible camping.

Want somebody else to put the tent up?

Glamping.

And if you own a campervan?

There’s an option for that too with the correct pass.

๐ŸŒ™ Wednesday Early Entry

Wednesday has become a huge part of the 2000trees experience.

Four-day ticket holders can arrive from midday on Wednesday 7 July.

And this isn’t simply an extra night where everybody sits beside the tent.

Music begins.

Forest Sessions start.

People reunite.

The first beers appear.

The campsite comes alive.

And suddenly your three-day festival has quietly become four days.

The current 2027 four-day allocation has already sold out, which tells you how popular Wednesday has become.

If you’ve got one?

You lucky sod.

๐ŸŽง Silent Disco

When the bands stop?

Trees doesn’t.

The festival’s Silent Disco keeps things going into the early hours.

Headphones on.

Choose your channel.

Lose all dignity.

Standard procedure.

From a distance, a silent disco always looks slightly terrifying.

Thousands of people dancing to apparently nothing.

Some screaming one song.

Others singing something completely different.

Everyone convinced their channel is clearly superior.

By 2am?

Nobody cares.

Fantastic nonsense.

๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘ง 2000trees With Kids

2000trees welcomes families and has no minimum age.

Anyone under 18 must attend with an accompanying adult.

Children aged 13 and under require the appropriate children’s ticket, while dedicated family facilities make the festival significantly easier for younger attendees.

And Trees actually puts some proper effort into this.

Family activities include:

๐ŸŒฒ Forest School

๐Ÿ•๏ธ Dedicated family camping

๐ŸŽจ Creative activities

๐ŸŽญ Children’s entertainment

๐Ÿ–๏ธ Play spaces

๐Ÿ“š Storytelling and family sessions

๐ŸŽธ Music-focused activities

It’s not simply:

โ€œKids are technically allowed.โ€

Families have genuinely been thought about.

That matters.

๐ŸŒณ Forest School

One of the coolest family elements is the Forest School.

Children can take part in woodland activities, crafts, den building, nature exploration and other hands-on experiences away from the louder festival areas.

It’s basically an opportunity to let younger Trees fans run wild in the woods.

Supervised, obviously.

We’re not suggesting releasing them into Gloucestershire and hoping for the best.

๐Ÿ‘‚ Protect Those Lugholes

Whether you’re eight or forty-eight:

Wear ear protection.

2000trees involves several days of live music through powerful sound systems.

Good filtered earplugs reduce harmful volume while still allowing you to hear everything properly.

Kids need appropriate child-specific hearing protection.

You want festival memories.

Not permanent ringing.

Look after those ears.

โ™ฟ Accessibility At 2000trees

2000trees works with Attitude Is Everything and provides a range of accessibility facilities.

These include:

โ™ฟ Accessible camping

โ™ฟ Viewing platforms at major stages

๐Ÿšป Accessible toilets

๐Ÿš— Accessible parking

๐Ÿค Personal Assistant / Essential Companion tickets

๐Ÿ”‹ Power-chair charging facilities

๐Ÿ• Assistance dogs welcome

๐Ÿฆฝ Mobility scooter and wheelchair hire

One thing worth remembering is that Upcote Farm is exactly that:

a farm.

The site includes grass, slopes, uneven terrain and a woodland area.

Wet conditions can make moving around considerably more challenging.

Anyone requiring access support should submit the festival’s accessibility form early and discuss individual requirements before travelling.

Preparation makes everything easier.

๐ŸŒ„ Upcote Farm

2000trees takes place at:

Upcote Farm
Withington
Cheltenham
Gloucestershire
GL54 4BL

The site sits within the rolling Cotswolds landscape and has become completely synonymous with Trees.

After twenty years, certain corners of Upcote Farm have developed their own mythology.

The forest.

The camping fields.

The walk into the arena.

That particular spot where you apparently lost your mate in 2019 and somehow didn’t see them again until Sunday.

Festival memories attach themselves to places.

And Upcote Farm has collected loads of them.

๐Ÿš† Getting To 2000trees

The festival is located in rural Gloucestershire, so planning the journey beforehand is strongly recommended.

Official transport options traditionally include shuttle arrangements alongside car parking and other travel services.

If you’re driving, use the festival’s published directions rather than blindly trusting the sat-nav once you’re close to the site.

Country roads and festival traffic can be a spicy combination.

And if you’re travelling from Wales?

Get the playlist sorted.

It’s road-trip territory.

๐Ÿš— Parking

There is plenty of festival parking, but the appropriate parking ticket is required.

Accessible parking is also available through the festival’s access application process.

One important festival rule:

You cannot simply sleep inside your vehicle in the normal car park.

If you’re planning to sleep in a vehicle, you’ll need the correct campervan arrangements.

Your Vauxhall Corsa does not automatically become a motorhome because you’ve folded the back seats down.

Nice try.

๐Ÿš Campervans

Campervans are welcome with the correct ticket.

Dedicated campervan areas operate separately from standard car parking, and vehicles must meet the festival’s requirements.

Caravans are not permitted.

If you’re thinking about taking a campervan, check availability early because allocations can disappear quickly.

Especially during a twenty-year anniversary edition.

โœจ Glamping

Want the Trees atmosphere without assembling a tent?

Glamping and pre-pitched accommodation options are available.

Luxury bell tents.

Vintage tents.

Pre-erected festival accommodation.

Basically:

Turn up.

Drop the bag.

Start watching bands.

No arguments about tent poles.

No discovering at 11pm that somebody forgot the mallet.

Festival progress.

๐Ÿ” Food At 2000trees

Trees has developed a strong reputation for its food options.

Expect a broad mix of traders covering traditional festival favourites alongside vegetarian, vegan and more adventurous choices.

Because four days of gigs requires fuel.

And no:

Seven pints and half a cereal bar do not count as a balanced festival diet.

Eat something proper.

Your Saturday self will thank you.

๐Ÿบ Bring Your Own โ€“ But Support The Bars

2000trees allows festival-goers to bring their own alcohol onto the site, provided it isn’t in glass containers.

That’s unusually generous.

However, remember that Trees is an independent festival.

Independent festivals rely heavily on bar revenue.

So by all means bring some campsite drinks.

But support the festival bars too.

Think of every pint as helping keep the riffs alive.

A noble sacrifice.

๐Ÿ’ณ 2000trees Is Cashless

The festival operates as a cashless site.

Bars and traders accept card and contactless payments rather than physical cash.

Phone charging facilities and portable battery options are also available on site.

Which is useful.

Because losing 7% battery while attempting to locate your mates after dark can suddenly feel like a full-scale emergency.

๐Ÿšฟ Toilets, Showers & Festival Essentials

2000trees has long had a decent reputation for its festival facilities.

There are water points across the campsites, toilets throughout the site and showers available depending on the camping area and ticket type.

There’s also a festival shop where you can replace those incredibly obvious things you somehow forgot.

Tent pegs.

Toothpaste.

Airbed pump.

Suncream.

The bit of camping equipment you definitely remember putting in the car but apparently didn’t.

Festival shops have saved many weekends.

โ™ป๏ธ Look After The Farm

Upcote Farm is environmentally sensitive countryside.

Use the bins.

Recycle.

Don’t abandon tents.

Don’t bring glass.

Don’t start fires.

Don’t be that person.

The whole reason Trees has been able to create decades of memories on this land is because the site continues to be treated with respect.

Leave the farm ready for the next twenty years.

๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ 2000trees Festival 2027 Tickets

Demand for the 20th anniversary edition has already been huge.

Current ticket status includes:

๐ŸŒ™ Four-Day Weekend Tickets

SOLD OUT

โœจ VIP Four-Day Tickets

SOLD OUT

โœจ VIP Three-Day Tickets

SOLD OUT

๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ Three-Day Weekend Tickets

The next ticket release is currently being handled through the official waitlist.

Camping is included with weekend tickets unless otherwise stated.

Day and evening ticket options are expected separately.

If you’re planning to celebrate twenty years of Trees?

Join that waitlist.

This is not a year we’d recommend casually assuming there’ll still be tickets kicking around next summer.

๐Ÿ“ฑ The 2000trees App

Trees also operates an official festival app.

And once the full running order lands?

You’ll want it.

The app includes festival information and a digital clashfinder, helping you keep track of who is playing where.

Considering how stacked the 2027 poster already is, that clashfinder could become one of the most important things on your phone.

Right after the group chat titled:

โ€œTREES 2027 ๐ŸŒฒ๐Ÿบ๐Ÿ”ฅโ€

Obviously.

๐ŸŒฒ Why 2000trees Is Special

There are bigger festivals.

There are festivals with bigger stages.

There are events with larger headline budgets.

But very few festivals have the personality of 2000trees.

Trees feels like a genuine community.

Bands love playing it.

Fans return every year.

New artists get meaningful opportunities.

The site is intimate.

The forest is magical.

The atmosphere rarely feels corporate.

And the line-ups continue balancing nostalgia with discovery.

That combination is incredibly difficult to manufacture.

Which is probably why 2000trees has survived long enough to celebrate twenty years.

So get 7โ€“10 July 2027 firmly into the diary.

Join the ticket waitlist.

Start working through that ridiculous line-up.

Find the tent.

Get the playlist going.

And prepare to celebrate two decades of one of Britain’s finest independent alternative festivals.

๐ŸŒฒ Twenty years.

๐ŸŽธ Hundreds of riffs.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Alternative music without the nonsense.

โ›บ Four days at Upcote Farm.

๐Ÿ‰ Plenty of Welsh representation.

๐Ÿบ One enormous birthday party.
