Got a new single dropping?
Album on the way?
Tour announcement ready to cause some chaos?
Festival news, band updates, music videos, press releases or a massive rock ’n’ roll story you reckon belongs on The Riff Report?
You’re in the right place.
Welcome to Riff Report PR. 🎸
📰 Send Us Your Rock & Metal News
The Riff Report works with bands, artists, record labels, PR companies, promoters, venues, festivals and independent music teams from across the UK and beyond.
We’re always looking for stories worth shouting about, whether that means a huge international act announcing an arena tour or an unsigned band releasing their first proper single from a rehearsal room somewhere in Wales.
If it involves riffs, live music, heavy guitars or the wider rock and metal world, we want to hear about it.
🎸 What Can You Send Us?
We welcome press releases and submissions covering things such as:
- New singles
- Albums and EPs
- Music video premieres
- Tour announcements
- Festival announcements
- Line-up additions
- Band news
- New signings
- Interviews
- Gig announcements
- Venue news
- Charity events
- Reunion news
- Anniversary releases
- Grassroots music stories
- Rock and metal community projects
Basically, if you think The Riff Report readership would care about it, chuck it our way.
🤘 Big Bands, Small Bands, Everyone In Between
The Riff Report has always believed the rock and metal scene works best when everyone gets a fair crack of the whip.
We love the massive names.
We love festival headliners.
We love arena tours.
But we’re equally interested in the band playing to 40 people in a sweaty club on a Thursday night.
Grassroots music matters.
Small venues matter.
Unsigned artists matter.
And some of tomorrow’s biggest bands are currently loading their own gear into the back of a knackered van.
That’s exactly why we want to hear from everyone.
📸 What Makes A Good Submission?
If you’re sending something over, the more useful information you include, the easier it is for us to cover it properly.
Ideally, include:
- A clear press release
- Artist or band name
- Release or event date
- Relevant streaming links
- Official website or social links
- High-quality promotional images
- Tour dates where applicable
- Album or single artwork
- Label or PR contact details
- Any important embargo information
And please make sure any images supplied are cleared for editorial use.
Nobody wants an angry photographer appearing from the shadows six months later. 😂
🎤 Interviews & Features
We also regularly feature interviews, artist spotlights and longer-form stories.
If you represent an artist with something interesting going on, whether that’s a major tour, new record, unusual collaboration, comeback, anniversary or just a cracking story, feel free to pitch it.
We’re especially interested in people who have something to say beyond the standard:
“We’re really excited about the new album.”
Give us stories.
Give us chaos.
Give us backstage disasters.
Give us strange recording sessions.
Give us the stuff fans actually want to read.
🏔️ Festivals, Gigs & Live Events
The Riff Report covers live music heavily, including festivals, club shows, arena gigs and everything in between.
Promoters, festivals and venues are welcome to send us:
- Event announcements
- Line-up updates
- Accreditation information
- Press opportunities
- Interview availability
- Media invitations
- Festival news
- Venue announcements
If there are loud guitars involved, there’s a decent chance we’ll be interested.
❤️ Supporting The Scene
The Riff Report is proudly independent and proudly Welsh.
Our aim is simple:
Support rock and metal music, support the people making it and help fans discover something worth turning up loud.
We’re not interested in pretending every band is the next Metallica.
We’re interested in finding the bands with something interesting happening and giving them somewhere to tell people about it.
From international stars to local heroes, the door is open.
📬 Get In Touch
Got something for The Riff Report?
Send us your press release, announcement, pitch or media enquiry and give us all the information we need to take a look.
Please remember that while we read and consider submissions, coverage cannot always be guaranteed.
There are only so many hours in the day, and apparently nobody has invented a 36-hour festival journalist workday yet.
Still, if it belongs in the world of rock, metal or live music, we want it in the inbox.
