Almost everything.

After more than a decade at its much-loved former home near Bristol, ArcTanGent begins a completely new chapter in 2027, moving to the beautiful Todenham Manor Farm near Moreton-in-Marsh in Gloucestershire.

The main festival takes place from Thursday 19 to Saturday 21 August 2027, while fans with four-day tickets can arrive on Wednesday 18 August for the full ArcTanGent experience.

Same wonderfully strange riffs.

🌲 Welcome To ArcTanGent’s New Home

For longtime ATG regulars, 2027 is going to feel like a genuinely historic edition.

The festival’s new home is Todenham Manor Farm, situated in the rolling countryside of the Cotswolds near Moreton-in-Marsh.

ArcTanGent’s organisers have promised that although the scenery is changing, the festival itself isn’t suddenly going to become something unrecognisable.

The plan is to recreate the intimate feeling that has always made ATG special, with stages, bars, traders and camping remaining relatively close together.

That’s important.

ArcTanGent has never felt like one of those enormous festivals where seeing two consecutive bands requires a three-mile hike and an emergency ration pack.

It’s compact.

Friendly.

Easy to explore.

And wonderfully focused on the music.

The organisers say the new site also offers more campsite space while remaining broadly similar in festival capacity.

So hopefully there’ll be slightly more room for your tent.

Although somebody will still somehow pitch theirs approximately eleven centimetres from the entrance.

🎸 What Is ArcTanGent?

ArcTanGent is one of the hardest UK festivals to describe to somebody who has never been.

You could call it a progressive music festival.

That would be partly right.

You could call it a post-rock and metal festival.

Also partly right.

Math rock?

Yep.

Hardcore?

Definitely.

Experimental electronics?

Why not?

Doom?

Occasionally enough to alter the weather.

ArcTanGent exists in that glorious corner of alternative music where genres begin colliding with one another.

Rather than relying entirely on the usual summer festival rotation, ATG digs deeper.

🤘 Discover Something Weird

One of the golden rules of ArcTanGent is:

Watch bands you’ve never heard of.

This festival rewards curiosity.

Walk towards whichever tent currently sounds interesting.

Stand at the back.

Give it ten minutes.

You might discover some bloke playing a cello through seventeen distortion pedals.

You might find an instrumental trio seemingly playing three different songs simultaneously.

You might stumble across crushing post-metal.

Or beautiful cinematic post-rock.

Or something completely unidentifiable.

That’s half the attraction.

ArcTanGent isn’t simply about ticking familiar bands off the list.

It’s about discovery.

⛺ Camping At ArcTanGent

ArcTanGent remains a proper camping festival at its new location.

Standard camping is included with weekend tickets, allowing festival-goers to stay on site throughout the event.

Anyone holding a four-day ticket can arrive from Wednesday, while three-day ticket holders gain access from Thursday.

🌙 Wednesday Early Entry

If three days of ArcTanGent isn’t enough, there’s always Wednesday.

Four-day ticket holders can arrive on Wednesday 18 August 2027.

Historically, Wednesday has become much more than simply an arrival day.

Music begins.

Festival mates reunite.

The campsite starts buzzing.

The first beers disappear.

And by Thursday morning everyone is already behaving as if they’ve been there for a week.

If you’re travelling a long distance, Wednesday entry also means you can get settled before the main three-day festival kicks into gear.

🎧 Silent Disco Madness

ArcTanGent’s legendary silent disco has become one of the festival’s great traditions.

Once the live bands finish, thousands of festival-goers put on headphones and continue partying into the early hours.

From the outside, it looks completely ridiculous.

People screaming lyrics to different songs.

Air guitar everywhere.

Entire groups apparently dancing to music nobody else can hear.

Someone shouting a conversation at maximum volume because they’ve forgotten they’re wearing headphones.

Utter nonsense.

We absolutely love it.

Exact 2027 silent disco timings will be added once they’re officially confirmed.

The move to Gloucestershire should make ArcTanGent easier to reach for plenty of festival-goers.
