The metal world barely had time to recover from the absolute wrecking ball that was ‘Checkmate’, and now BLUE MEDUSA have kicked the doors clean off the hinges again with their brand-new single ‘Flying Monkey’. 😈

Led by internationally acclaimed metal powerhouse Alissa White-Gluz, BLUE MEDUSA are quickly becoming one of the most talked-about names in heavy music right now — and honestly, after hearing this new track, it’s not hard to understand why.

‘Flying Monkey’ Arrives Like A Steel Chair To The Face 🥁⚡

If ‘Checkmate’ was the warning shot, then ‘Flying Monkey’ is the full-on invasion.

The new single crashes in with monstrous riffs, eerie atmosphere, crushing drums, and the kind of vocal performance that reminds everyone exactly why Alissa remains one of the most respected voices in modern metal. There’s rage, melody, chaos, and enough energy to power every festival stage in Wales at once, mun.

This isn’t background music.

This is “spill your pint while headbanging in the middle of a muddy field at midnight” music. 🍺🔥

BLUE MEDUSA Are Building Something HUGE 👀

After ‘Checkmate’ exploded across the metal scene earlier this year, fans have been desperate to hear what came next from BLUE MEDUSA. Judging by the reaction online already, ‘Flying Monkey’ might end up being even bigger.

The track feels darker, nastier, and somehow even more confident. There’s a cinematic edge running through it too — like the soundtrack to the world ending while someone starts a circle pit in the apocalypse.

Exactly our kind of carry-on here at The Riff Report. 😎🤘

Alissa White-Gluz Continues To Dominate

Whether fronting massive festival crowds or dropping studio tracks that hit like a wrecking ball to the ribs, Alissa White-Gluz continues to prove why she’s one of metal’s most iconic modern performers.

BLUE MEDUSA feels less like a side project and more like the start of something genuinely massive.

And honestly? We’re fully here for it.

RIFF REPORT VERDICT 🎤🔥

‘Flying Monkey’ absolutely slaps.

It’s aggressive without losing melody, dramatic without becoming overproduced nonsense, and packed with the kind of energy that reminds you why metal still rules in 2026.

If BLUE MEDUSA keep this momentum going, don’t be surprised if they end up becoming one of the breakout heavy acts of the next few years.

Now excuse us while we go play this thing dangerously loud and annoy the neighbours. Again.

Have You Heard ‘Flying Monkey’ Yet? 🤘

Drop your thoughts in the comments, tag your metal mates, and let us know:
