Iron Maiden are celebrating five decades of heavy metal domination by giving vinyl collectors a serious problem for their bank accounts! 💸🤘
The British metal legends have announced two special anniversary releases arriving in December 2026: a limited-edition 40th-anniversary pressing of Somewhere In Time and an enormous coloured-vinyl collection covering their first nine studio albums.
That’s riffs, Eddie artwork and enough glorious wax to reinforce the floorboards, mun!
🕰️ Somewhere In Time Turns 40
Released in 1986, Somewhere In Time saw Iron Maiden charging boldly into the future, experimenting with guitar synthesisers while retaining the galloping rhythms, massive choruses and twin-guitar wizardry that had made them metal royalty.
Four decades later, the album’s futuristic atmosphere and staggeringly detailed Eddie artwork remain every bit as striking.
To mark its 40th anniversary, Somewhere In Time will be reissued on limited-edition oxblood-coloured vinyl, featuring the band’s 2015 audio remaster.
A special Amazon edition will also include an exclusive full-sleeve poster — because if there’s one Iron Maiden album cover you could stare at for several hours while hunting for tiny references, it’s this one!
The anniversary pressing will be released on 4 December 2026 and is available to pre-order now.

💀 The First Nine Albums — All in One Mighty Box
The second release is an even bigger beast.
Titled Iron Maiden: 50th Anniversary Studio Album Collection, Part One: 1980–1992, the new box set gathers Maiden’s first nine studio albums together on coloured vinyl.
It reflects the classic era currently being celebrated during the band’s two-year Run For Your Lives Tour, which has dragged some long-absent favourites back onto the stage alongside the unavoidable Maiden anthems.
The collection comes housed inside a specially designed artwork box and includes an anniversary poster. It will be available exclusively through Amazon, although American fans will also be able to purchase a non-Amazon retail version without the poster.

The box set will be released on 11 December 2026, one week after the standalone Somewhere In Time pressing. Iron Maiden’s official announcement confirms the complete contents and release dates.

This isn’t merely a pile of albums in fancy colours. It is the sound of Iron Maiden transforming from hungry pub-circuit hopefuls into one of the biggest and most influential heavy metal bands on the planet.
