If Download is the enormous city of British rock festivals, 2000trees is the ridiculously friendly village down the road where everyone somehow knows each other.
The independent festival was founded in 2007 by festival veterans who wanted to create the sort of event they themselves actually wanted to attend.
And that philosophy has stuck.
2000trees has built a fiercely loyal community around alternative rock, punk, hardcore, emo and underground music.
The site is considerably smaller than Donington, meaning you donβt need to leave your tent on Tuesday to make a Thursday afternoon band.
You can wander.
Discover bands.
Meet people.
Watch enormous artists in surprisingly intimate surroundings.
Then discover something completely unexpected on a smaller stage.

Post-metal.
Experimental music.
Hardcore.
Electronic.
Bands playing songs in time signatures requiring an engineering degree to understand.
