Label: Earache Records
Release Date: 27 March 2026

Some bands peak live. Some bands are live.
Massive Wagons fall squarely into the second camp — and Live At The Great Hall is the sound of a band absolutely on fire, refusing to stand still, and somehow getting better every single time they step on a stage 🔥🤘

This isn’t just a “point a mic at the crowd and press record” job. This is a full-fat, sweat-soaked, pint-spilling, lungs-on-the-line document of a band who know exactly who they are — and exactly how to own a room.

From the opening roar, you can feel the buzz of the Great Hall. The crowd aren’t just spectators here — they’re an extra band member, singing, shouting, and pushing the songs into overdrive. Massive Wagons thrive on that energy, and this record captures it beautifully. No polish-for-the-radio nonsense. No sanding down the edges. Just raw, joyful, defiant rock ’n’ roll.

Vocally, Baz Mills is in ridiculous form. There’s confidence, grit, humour, and that unmistakable connection with the crowd that only comes from years of grafting it out on stages up and down the country. He sounds like a frontman who knows the room belongs to him — but still wants everyone to feel part of the party.

Musically, the band are tight as hell without ever feeling stiff. Riffs hit harder live, choruses feel bigger, and the pacing of the set shows a group who understand dynamics — when to floor it, when to let a moment breathe, and when to just let the crowd carry the song home.

What really stands out, though, is how Massive Wagons have evolved. This isn’t a nostalgia act replaying old glories. This is a band still climbing, still sharpening their blades, still sounding hungry. Each tour, each release, each live document feels like another step forward — and Live At The Great Hall might be their strongest live statement yet.

Earache Records deserve credit for letting this record sound like a gig, not a studio Frankenstein. You can hear the room, the imperfections, the adrenaline. That’s where the magic lives, mun 🎤🍺

Final Verdict

This album is proof that Massive Wagons aren’t just one of the UK’s best live rock bands — they’re still getting better, still connecting, still delivering nights people will talk about for years.

If you’ve seen them live, this record will take you straight back to the barrier.
If you haven’t… this is your warning shot.

LOUD. PROUD. ALIVE.
Massive Wagons — keep doing what you’re doing, butt. The rest of us will keep shouting along 🤘🔥
