Australian death/groove metal wrecking crew Beleth are back with a brand-new slab of sonic destruction, and honestly butt, this thing hits like a steel beam dropped from orbit. ๐
Their upcoming single โThe Grinding Voidโ lands on May 15th 2026 as an independent release, and if youโre into massive riffs, monstrous vocals, grooves heavier than a festival mud pit after three days of rain, and enough atmosphere to summon demons in a Tesco car park โ this oneโs for you.
From Pandemic Project To Full-Blown Metal Machine โก
Beleth first emerged during the chaos of the COVID pandemic, originally forming as a recording project while the world was stuck indoors surviving on takeaway coffee, livestream gigs, and existential dread. But unlike many lockdown projects that vanished faster than your mate after buying the first round, Beleth only got stronger.
Their 2021 debut album Silent Genesis made serious noise in the underground metal scene, released through Wormholdeath Records alongside Scorching Earth Records and Narcoleptica Productions.
Critics absolutely lapped it up too.
Devilโs Horns Zine called the album a โraging gemโ, drawing comparisons to death metal titans Carcass and groove masters Lamb Of God, while Acta Infernalis described Beleth as:
โA motivated and energetic riff machine.โ
Which, to be fair, is probably the most accurate description possible. ๐
Since then, the band have stayed active with a string of independent singles, including a savage take on Metallicaโs โNo Remorseโ, and now theyโre charging into 2026 with new vocalist Dean Wade leading the attack.
And what an attack it is.

From the opening seconds, โThe Grinding Voidโ drags listeners into a dark, atmospheric descent before unleashing riff after riff of crushing groove-fuelled punishment.
This isnโt just noisy chaos for the sake of it either.
The track balances brutality with melody brilliantly, layering monstrous growls, thunderous rhythms, and an absolutely addictive chorus that burrows into your skull like a caffeinated goblin with a jackhammer.
The riffs are thick enough to crack concrete, the groove is relentless, and the whole thing builds towards a massive climax featuring a guest guitar solo from Aidan Cibich (Echoes In Eternity, ex-Apophis, ex-Taninโiver).
Itโs got that proper โheadbang until your neck files a formal complaintโ energy. ๐ค
Massive Production? Oh Absolutely Mun ๐
The single was mixed and mastered by the legendary Lasse Lammert at LSD Studios in Germany, and the production job here is absolutely colossal.
Everything sounds huge.
The guitars roar, the drums punch through your chest cavity, and the vocals sound like theyโve clawed their way out of the underworld itself.
On top of that, the band are releasing the track alongside a lyric video created by Tony Kaarlas at Kaarto Media in Finland, meaning fans will get the full immersive Beleth experience when the single drops.

โThe Grinding Voidโ feels like the sound of a band fully locking into their identity โ heavier, sharper, darker, and absolutely loaded with groove.
