From first-time festival goers to seasoned pit veterans, here’s everything you need to survive, thrive and absolutely smash Firevolt Festival 2026!

The amps are warming up.

The tents are being dusted off.

Battle jackets are making their annual appearance.

The power banks are charging.

And somewhere, somebody has already packed far too many cans… 🍻

Firevolt Festival 2026 is almost here, and if you’re heading there from 7th–9th August, you’re in for one hell of a weekend. Expect huge riffs, massive singalongs, incredible bands, new friendships, muddy boots (probably), unforgettable moments and enough rock ‘n’ roll to leave your voice completely destroyed by Sunday night.

Whether you’re making the trip for the first time or you’re practically part of the festival furniture by now, The Riff Report has pulled together the ultimate survival guide to help you make the most of every single minute.

So grab a cuppa (or something stronger), crank the volume up and let’s get you festival-ready!

🤘 First Things First – Get Organised!

There’s nothing worse than arriving at a festival only to realise you’ve left something important at home.

Before you leave, make sure you’ve packed:

🎟️ Your festival ticket

🪪 Photo ID

⛺ Camping pass (if you’re staying over)

🚗 Parking pass

📱 Fully charged phone

🔋 Power banks

💳 Bank card and a bit of cash

Emergency contact details are always worth having saved in your phone too. It only takes a minute, but it can make all the difference if something unexpected happens.

🚗 The Journey Begins

No matter where you’re travelling from, one thing is almost guaranteed…

Traffic.

Festival traffic has a habit of appearing from absolutely nowhere, so leave earlier than you think you need to.

Stick to the official signage, follow directions from the traffic marshals and, above all else, keep your cool. Everyone’s heading to the same place, and everyone just wants to get in and start rocking.

🏕️ Welcome Home…

For the next three days, your tent isn’t just a tent.

It’s your hotel.

Your changing room.

Your recovery zone.

And, after a long day in the arena, it’ll feel like Buckingham Palace.

Make sure you’ve packed:

  • Tent
  • Sleeping bag
  • Air bed or sleeping mat
  • Pillow
  • Camping chair
  • Torch
  • Bin bags
  • Wet wipes
  • Toilet roll
  • Extension lead (if using powered camping)
  • Ear plugs

Top Riff Report Tip: Decorate your tent with a flag or something colourful. After a few hours in the arena, every green tent starts looking exactly the same!

👕 Dress for Every Season…

Because British weather doesn’t believe in consistency.

One minute you’ll be roasting.

The next you’ll be wondering if Noah has started building another ark.

Pack:

☀️ Shorts

🧥 Hoodie

🌧️ Waterproof jacket

🧦 Plenty of socks

🥾 Comfortable boots

👟 Trainers

🧢 Hat

🕶️ Sunglasses

Even if the forecast says sunshine all weekend… don’t trust it, butt!

🎒 Arena Essentials

Nobody wants to carry half their house around all day.

Keep it simple.

Take:

📱 Phone

🔋 Power bank

💧 Refillable water bottle

🧴 Sun cream

💊 Medication

🍫 Snacks

🎧 Ear protection

💳 Wallet

You’ll thank yourself later.

🍔 Fuel the Riffs

Festival food has come a long way over the years.

Gone are the days when your only choices were a questionable burger or chips.

Expect everything from loaded fries and gourmet burgers to pizzas, noodles, vegan delights, sweet treats and plenty of coffee to kickstart those early sets.

Don’t forget to drink plenty of water throughout the day too.

Beer is brilliant…

Hydration is even better.

Your future self will thank you.

🎸 Plan Your Weekend Like a Pro

The stage times are now live, so spend a little time planning your weekend before you arrive.

Highlight:

⭐ Must-see bands

⭐ New discoveries

⭐ Food breaks

⭐ Toilet stops

⭐ Merch shopping

Trying to sprint between stages all weekend is a guaranteed way to end up absolutely shattered before the headliner even walks on stage.

Sometimes it’s okay to slow down.

🤘 Support the Smaller Bands

Every legendary band started somewhere.

One of the best things about festivals is stumbling across a band you’ve never heard before and leaving completely obsessed.

Give the early acts a chance.

You might just discover your next favourite band before everyone else does.

🛍️ Merch Madness

Festival merchandise disappears faster than free pizza backstage.

If you’ve spotted something you really want…

Buy it early.

Waiting until Sunday usually ends with disappointment.

And let’s be honest…

Who doesn’t love coming home with another festival shirt?

📸 Capture the Memories…

Take photos.

Record a few videos.

Grab that perfect crowd shot.

But don’t spend the entire weekend looking through your phone screen.

Some moments deserve to be experienced with your own eyes.

The biggest singalongs.

The surprise guest appearances.

The emotional finales.

Those memories stay with you forever.

🤝 Be a Good Human

The rock community has always looked after its own.

Let’s keep it that way.

✔ Pick people up in the pit.

✔ Respect security.

✔ Respect the campsite.

✔ Keep the toilets tidy.

✔ Say hello to your neighbours.

✔ Help anyone who needs it.

✔ Look after yourself.

It’s amazing how quickly complete strangers become festival family.

😴 Pace Yourself

Three days is a marathon.

Not a sprint.

Eat properly.

Drink plenty of water.

Take breaks.

Sit down every now and then.

There’s no prize for burning yourself out before Saturday afternoon.

📱 Stay in the Loop

Keep checking Firevolt’s official announcements throughout the weekend.

Schedules can change.

Weather can change.

Special guests can appear.

Being informed means you won’t miss the moments everyone talks about afterwards.

❤️ Make New Friends

One of the greatest things about festivals isn’t actually the music.

It’s the people.

Share a laugh.

Swap band recommendations.

Admire someone’s battle jacket.

You’ll probably leave with a whole new bunch of mates from every corner of the UK.

🔥 Leave No Trace

When the final encore fades away and the last guitar has been packed into the truck, let’s leave Firevolt looking as good as we found it.

Use the bins.

Recycle where you can.

Respect the site.

Let’s make sure Firevolt keeps welcoming rock fans back for years to come.

⚡ The Final Riff

Firevolt Festival isn’t just about watching bands.

It’s about escaping reality for a few glorious days.

It’s about hearing thousands of voices singing the same chorus.

It’s about discovering your next favourite band.

It’s about meeting strangers who become lifelong friends.

It’s about laughter, mud, sunshine, rain, late-night conversations, incredible performances and memories that stay with you long after you’ve unpacked your tent.

Whether you’re right down the front on the barrier, relaxing back on the grass, browsing the merch stands or belting out every lyric with your mates, one thing’s for certain…

Firevolt Festival 2026 is shaping up to be an absolute belter. ⚡🤘

The entire team here at The Riff Report will be following the action closely, bringing you the latest news, highlights, reviews, interviews, photos and plenty of behind-the-scenes coverage throughout the weekend.

If you spot us wandering around with cameras, notebooks or desperately searching for coffee, come and say hello! We’d love to hear your festival stories, favourite bands and biggest moments.

Until then…

Pack smart.

Travel safely.

Support the bands.

Look after each other.

And, as always…

Stay loud. Stay proud. Stay rocking.

See you down the front, butt! 🤘⚡🔥
