🏔️ The Exodus Trilogy Continues
Released in 2008, Slaves For Life established AMASEFFER as one of progressive metal’s most ambitious and distinctive forces.
The album combined thunderous progressive metal with symphonic arrangements, authentic Middle Eastern instrumentation and dramatic storytelling. Rather than simply writing a collection of songs, AMASEFFER created something closer to a metal film score — huge, immersive and completely committed to its concept.
Now, mastermind Erez Yohanan is finally returning to continue the band’s monumental Exodus trilogy.
When The Lions Leave Their Den picks up the Biblical narrative from the day of the Exodus, following the journey through to Moses’ ascent of Mount Sinai, where he receives the Ten Commandments.

The forthcoming album promises rich orchestral arrangements, authentic folk instrumentation, multilingual narration and deeply cinematic sound design.
AMASEFFER’s unmistakable musical identity remains at the heart of the project, but this new chapter also introduces a fresh vocal dynamic through new lead singers Lukky Sparxx and Jessica Mercy.
With tracks stretching beyond the nine and ten-minute marks, When The Lions Leave Their Den certainly isn’t messing about. 🎛️ The Mind Behind AMASEFFER
Outside AMASEFFER, Erez Yohanan has developed an impressive career as a producer, composer and audio designer.
His collaborations include work with Orphaned Land, Scardust, Desert, Stormy Atmosphere and Orpheus Blade, alongside numerous other artists.
Yohanan’s creative work has also extended into theatre productions, film scores and video-game audio design, including projects connected with companies such as Ubisoft and Psyonix.
That experience in cinematic composition and sound design looks set to play a major role in AMASEFFER’s returning chapter, helping the band push its combination of metal, narrative and orchestration even further.
