What you do have is a huge domestic rock audience, a fiercely loyal underground metal community, festivals in Istanbul and İzmir, multi-genre events that still make plenty of room for guitars, and international heavy bands increasingly adding Türkiye to their touring calendars.

Türkiye has had a metal underground for decades.
