The voice of British rock royalty himself, Paul Rodgers, has officially pulled out of the long-awaited Bad Company reunion at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame — citing health concerns that have forced him to take a step back.
In a brief but heartfelt message to fans, Rodgers shared:
“I have to prioritise my health.”
Those six words hit harder than a Les Paul through a Marshall stack. Fans were already gearing up for what was expected to be the feel-good reunion of the 2026 Rock Hall ceremony — Rodgers back with his Bad Company brothers, belting out “Can’t Get Enough” and “Feel Like Makin’ Love” like it was 1974 all over again. 🎤🔥
Sadly, that dream’s been parked — at least for now. Rodgers, 75, has long been one of rock’s most soulful voices, fronting Free, Bad Company, and even joining Queen for a run of massive tours in the 2000s. His gravel-and-gold delivery has shaped entire generations of rock singers, and to this day, nobody does it quite like him.
It’s not the first time Rodgers has faced a serious health battle either. A few years back, he underwent major surgery that left him unable to sing or speak — something unthinkable for a man whose voice is his entire identity. But the fighter came roaring back with 2023’s Midnight Rose, proving that he could still out-sing lads half his age. 🌹
