🎤 ORIGINS – THE DREAM TAKES FLIGHT

Heavy metal never dies – it just finds new pilots. Tailgunner was born out of the mad brain of Zac Salmon, a bassist and all-round metal fanatic who wanted to take the sound of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) and give it a shot of jet fuel.

Formed in 2022, the band came together with one mission: bring back traditional, no-compromise heavy metal in an age when TikTok and autotune are running riot. Instead of chasing trends, they planted their boots firmly in the legacy of Maiden, Priest, and Helloween – but added enough modern bite to make today’s crowds scream along.

Like their namesake (Iron Maiden’s 1990 banger “Tailgunner”), they set out to strike fast, fly high, and blast loud.

    Part two of the twin-axe attack. If Goz is fire, Rocco is gasoline – together, they shred like a chainsaw through a crate of Carling.
  • Adam Stockman – Drums 🥁
    Keeps the whole thing galloping like a runaway steam train. Double-kick thunder and relentless fills that could start earthquakes in Cardiff Bay.
