Right. Gather round, you beautiful lot, because this might be the most rock ’n’ roll scam attempt the internet has coughed up all year.

Earlier today, a message allegedly from Liam Gallagher landed in someone’s Instagram inbox with all the subtlety of a tambourine to the face.

“Hello this is Liam Gallagher”

“Oasis needs $50 to make the new album”

“Wondawal”

Reader, I nearly spat my brew across the room.

🎤 HELLO THIS IS LIAM GALLAGHER

No preamble. No insults. No calling anyone a potato. Just a polite “hello” like he’s ringing Vodafone customer support. Already suspicious.

Real Liam doesn’t say hello. Real Liam arrives.

💸 OASIS NEEDS $50

Let’s pause here.

Oasis, the band that sold tens of millions of records, filled Knebworth twice, and funded Noel’s scarf collection for life… now apparently needs fifty American dollars.

Not £50.

Not €50.

$50.

Presumably to cover:

One (1) Greggs sausage roll Half a tambourine Noel’s emotional damages

🎶 “WONDAWAL”

And there it is. The cherry on the parka.

No link.

No bank details.

Just “Wondawal”, like a magical incantation that unlocks Britpop Nirvana.

Honestly, if they’d followed it up with “pls respond brother”, I might’ve folded.

🧠 LET’S BE CLEAR

This is obviously not Liam Gallagher.

This is not how albums are funded.

This is not how Oasis would reunite.

If Oasis ever need money, they’ll announce a tour, sell out 14 stadiums in 11 seconds, and still argue about who gets the dressing room kettle.

⭐ FINAL VERDICT

Scam artistry: 10/10 Commitment to character: Strong Accuracy of Liam’s personality: Needs more insults Would we frame this DM on the office wall? Absolutely

So… what do you reckon, you legends?

Would you send the £40-ish and hope Definitely Maybe 2: Fifty Quid Edition turns up in the post?

Or is this the most iconic fake Liam moment since someone claimed he enjoys yoga?
