C’mon butt – it’s on! The mountain has spoken, the gates are open, and Steelhouse Festival 2025 is officially underway! The Riff Report crew have touched down, set up camp (with varying levels of success 😂), and we’re buzzing like a guitar amp left on all night.
We’re talkin’ merch stalls, mouth-watering food vans, the sweet smell of wet grass and warm beer… and that glorious moment when the arena gates open and you finally hear the first real riff of the weekend echoing off the Welsh hills. Proper goosebump stuff, mun. 🥹🎶
🛍️ First Stop: Merch Madness
Let’s be honest – before even thinking about grabbing a pint, we legged it straight to the merch stands. The official festival t-shirts are looking LUSH this year. That new Steelhouse artwork? 🔥🔥🔥 Might have to remortgage the van to afford everything, but it’s worth it for the memories (and the Instagram pics).
🍔 Stalls, Sizzle & Sausage Rolls
Food-wise, it’s an absolute feast out here. Burgers the size of your head, vegan scran that even meatheads are queuing for, and yes… the sacred Greggs pop-up stall has returned for another year of flaky pastry salvation. Diolch, pastry gods. 🙏
🤘 The Arena Awaits
We’re itching to get in that arena now. Soundchecks are booming, drumkits are shaking the hillside, and there’s already a sea of denim, leather, and dodgy sunburn forming outside the main gate. Someone just walked past in a mankini. We salute you, brave warrior.
This year’s lineup is stacked to the rafters with riffage – and we’re covering every single moment. From the first chord to the last encore, The Riff Report will be in the pit, by the barrier, and occasionally passed out near the burrito stand.

His writing combines honest opinions, humour, and a genuine love for live music, bringing readers closer to the bands, festivals, venues, and people that keep the scene alive.
Michael is particularly passionate about supporting independent artists, local venues, charities, and the wider UK rock and metal community. He believes every band deserves a chance to be discovered and every festival has a story worth telling. Through The Riff Report, he aims to shine a spotlight on both the biggest names in rock and the future stars waiting to break through.
