Cardiff’s beloved Burger Boyz — the local kings of loaded patties, dripping cheese, and hangover-saving portions — are reeling this week after their city restaurant was broken into late on Monday 13th October.
According to the team’s official post, the break-in happened around 10:30 PM, when an intruder smashed their way inside, stole staff tips, and caused major damage to fridges and freezers — forcing the restaurant to throw away all of its stock. 💔
“He stole our staff tips, opened all of our fridges and freezers meaning we’ve had to bin all of our stock and caused loads of damage,” the post read.
The incident has left the crew gutted — not just for the loss of earnings, but because they’ve had to close the restaurant temporarily while they clean up and work with police. The team confirmed they’ll be closed on 15th October while they get things sorted.

In true Cardiff spirit, Burger Boyz aren’t taking it lying down. They’ve offered a £500 reward for anyone with information that leads to the arrest of the culprit. They even shared CCTV footage and a clear message:
“This guy probably wears the same clothes every day so he can’t be hard to recognise. No doubt has people that hate him — so please come forward and help us catch the rat.”
