The Australian extreme metal collective are preparing to unleash their second full-length album, Parable Of The Sewer, on July 24th 2026 via Apocalyptic Witchcraft, and mun… this thing sounds like it crawled out of a burning crypt beneath the Earth itself.

Featuring members connected to absolute titans of sonic destruction including Abramelin, Werewolves, The Berzerker, Psycroptic, The Amenta and The Antichrist Imperium, Faustian aren’t your average “let’s wear spikes and look moody” black metal band. This is a proper extreme metal supergroup built for chaos, dread and complete psychological collapse. Lovely stuff. 🤘

Fear Instead Of Violence 🩸

Where sister band Werewolves deals in outright brutality and violence, Faustian take a darker route entirely.

Guitarist Matt Wilcock previously summed it up perfectly:

“If the Werewolves aesthetic is violence, then Faustian’s is fear and horror.”

And honestly? That quote absolutely nails the atmosphere of Parable Of The Sewer.

This album doesn’t just batter you with riffs — it stalks you. It breathes down your neck. It whispers horrible things into your ears while the walls slowly rot around you.

No Intro. No Mercy. No Escape. ⚡

Opening track “I Curse You” launches without warning like a sewer lid exploding into the night sky. Blast beats rain down immediately while venom-soaked vocals tear through walls of catastrophic guitar work.

It’s fast. It’s filthy. It’s properly intimidating.

Then comes first single “Broken Better”, which drips with eerie menace and unsettling atmosphere, sounding like the soundtrack to a ritual you definitely shouldn’t attend after midnight.

Meanwhile, “I Want The Ride To Begin Again” explodes with triumphant black metal grandeur, somehow sounding both majestic and utterly doomed at the same time. It’s the kind of song that makes you want to raise a goblet while the world burns around you. 🔥

Sewer Hymns & Nightmare Fuel 👁️

Every track on Parable Of The Sewer feels connected to a larger cursed vision.

“Immaculate” delivers relentless chaos with military precision, while “Cephalophore” swings riffs like medieval execution axes through thick waves of darkness.

Then there’s the terrifyingly atmospheric “We Do Not Use Names Here”, which genuinely feels like opening a forbidden book in a candlelit basement somewhere beneath Cardiff after too many energy drinks and absolutely no good decisions.

And mun… “Tenements (Only The Wicked Walk In Circles)” is pure psychological horror in musical form.

Lines like:

“Afraid of mirrors, afraid of stairs…”

linger in your brain long after the song ends, feeding pure paranoia like some cursed black metal creepypasta soundtrack.

Finally, album closer “The Rot Shall Inherit The Earth” wraps everything in decay, corruption and funeral bells, ending the record in truly horrifying fashion with screams, collapse and total ruin.
