The mighty Disturbed just made history — and got one hell of a trophy to prove it! Following their first-ever headline show at The O2 Arena, guitarist Dan Donegan was presented with a bespoke, one-of-a-kind award unlike anything you’ll find in a typical trophy cabinet.
This isn’t your standard glass plaque or gold record. Nope — this beast of an award actually includes a genuine piece of The O2’s roof. Yep, you read that right! The same iconic white tent that defines London’s skyline — and once took a brutal beating from Storm Eunice back in March 2022 — has now been reborn as a piece of rock history.
According to The O2’s note, the material was literally ripped off the roof and carried into the River Thames by the storm, before being recovered, cleaned, and transformed into this stunning keepsake. The base is crafted from Jesmonite, a sustainable and reusable material that can be crushed and remade without harming the environment — a classy, eco-conscious touch from one of the world’s most famous arenas.
The message from The O2 reads:
“We always like to celebrate artists performing their first headline show at the venue with a unique award that features a genuine piece of The O2’s roof… After a careful retrieval from the river (and a thorough clean!), we saw an opportunity to give it new life.”
Disturbed’s show marked a monumental milestone for the band, who’ve been tearing up stages worldwide on their 2025 tour. From “Down with the Sickness” to “The Sound of Silence,” the night was pure adrenaline — and now it’s forever immortalised in a trophy with a story that’s literally weathered a storm.
