In heartbreaking news for rock fans across the globe, Ace Frehley, the original lead guitarist and founding member of KISS, has been laid to rest in New York. Friends, family, and fellow rock legends gathered to say their goodbyes to one of the most iconic figures in hard rock history. 💔
Members of KISS — including Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, and Peter Criss — were reportedly in attendance, standing united one last time to honour the man who helped ignite the rocket ride that changed rock ’n’ roll forever.
Fans lined the streets outside the private ceremony, many dressed in full KISS makeup, holding candles, guitars, and posters from Ace’s legendary solo years. It was a bittersweet scene — both a celebration of his life and a reminder of the mark he left on generations of rockers and dreamers. 🤘
Ace, known as the Spaceman, joined KISS in 1973 and helped shape their unmistakable sound — from those face-melting riffs on “Shock Me” and “Cold Gin”, to his solo classic “New York Groove.” Without Ace, KISS wouldn’t have reached the stratosphere. 🚀
As one fan outside the service said, “He wasn’t just from outta space — he was from another dimension of cool.”
