The dust has barely settled… but Manchester is BUZZING. Close to 80,000 fans spilled out of Heaton Park tonight with one thing on their lips: “That. Was. F****ing. Magic.” 🤯🔥
Tonight marked the final night of Oasis’ monumental five-show run at Heaton Park – the emotional, beer-soaked, flare-filled crown jewel of the Live ’25 Tour. And if this was your first gig? Welcome to the jungle, butt. 🌆🎸
🌟 A Homecoming for the Ages
You couldn’t turn a corner in town this past week without being smacked in the face by Manc pride and Oasis mania. Bucket hats. Parkas. Supersonic chants echoing out of pub doorways. Manchester wasn’t just the venue – it was the star of the show. 💫
Even Noel Gallagher – king of sardonic smirks – got misty-eyed during the encore.
“For the last ten days the eyes of the world have been on this city of Manchester,” he told the crowd.
“And I just want to say to all Mancunians – you’ve done yourself f***ing proud.”
Go on lad. Proper job. 🥹
🎶 Wonderwalls, Flares, and Grown Men Crying
From the opening riff of Rock ‘n’ Roll Star to the final chords of Champagne Supernova, the set was pure anthemic bliss. Fans screamed every word like their lives depended on it. There were tears. There were beers. There was even a lad in a Liam wig doing high kicks by the loos. (We saw you, Dai from Rhyl. You legend.) 🦵🍺
And when the first chords of Don’t Look Back In Anger hit? BOOM. 80,000 voices in unison. Flares lit. Arms wide. Not a dry eye in the park.
Even Billie Eilish, playing her second night at Co-op Live nearby, probably heard the roar. (Sorry Billie. Tonight wasn’t about whisper-pop. It was about northern swagger and wall-shaking choruses.)
🛑 The Not-So-Glam Side: Travel Carnage Incoming
It wouldn’t be a UK megagig without travel chaos, right? As fans tried to make their way home – or to the nearest kebab shop – they were met with:
- 🚧 M60 CLOSED due to a fatal collision.
- 🚦”Severe delays” around Heaton Park.
- 🚉 Packed trams and buses rammed tighter than the front row during Morning Glory.
If you didn’t pre-book a taxi, you’re either still walking… or sleeping on Gallagher Hill with a bag of chips as a pillow. 😬
🧓 From Britpop to Brotherhood: A Long Time Coming
This wasn’t just a gig. It was a reunion no one thought would happen.
The Gallagher brothers haven’t shared a stage since their infamous split in 2009 – a backstage bust-up that felt like a divorce for an entire generation. 💔
