Korn didn’t just join the nu-metal movement — they birthed it. Like, ripped-from-the-womb screaming “ARE YOU READY?!”
They blended:
- Funky slap bass
- Industrial grooves
- Downtuned, 7-string guitar filth
- Beatboxing and bagpipes (yes, bagpipes)
- And lyrics that sounded like Jonathan Davis was bleeding his soul into your ear canal
They were angry, vulnerable, and deeply weird.
And we loved them for it.
