Proper job, butt! Glam rock icon and eternal riff-slinger Marc Bolan has been immortalised with a shiny new Blue Plaque outside his former London home β a fitting tribute to the man who gave the world cosmic boogies, glitter, and more feather boas than your nanβs cupboard at Christmas. β¨πͺ©
The plaque, unveiled at his old digs in Upper Richmond Road, Barnes, marks the spot where the T. Rex frontman lived during his rise to fame in the early β70s β when βGet It Onβ was blasting from every radio and he was leading the charge in glam rockβs glitter-fuelled takeover.
Fans and locals gathered to raise a glass (and probably a few air guitars π€) as Bolanβs family and friends celebrated his legacy. The man might have left us far too soon in 1977, but his spirit still struts down every riff-soaked street in the UK.
