The day the bat finally flew off into the dark.
The day the world lost Ozzy Osbourne, age 76 โ our beloved Prince of Darkness.
News of his death broke like a thunderclap across the rock community, and within hours, his hometown of Birmingham erupted โ not in chaos, but in love, riffs, and remembrance. What followed was one of the most powerful, emotional, and gloriously loud fan vigils the UK has ever seen. ๐๐ค
๐ฏ๏ธ FLOWERS, TEARS & RIFFS ON BROAD STREET
From the minute his family confirmed the news, fans began gathering at Black Sabbath Bridge on Broad Street, a site already steeped in history โ and now, heartbreak. They came armed with:

- ๐ฟ Vintage vinyls
- ๐งธ Even a few plush bats and crucifixes (classic Ozzy)
The crowd swelled as Sabbath songs echoed across the street, voices rising with each verse. โWar Pigs,โ โParanoid,โ โIron Manโ โ these werenโt just songs tonight; they were hymns.
People cried. People headbanged. People hugged complete strangers in studded jackets. One bloke brought a candle shaped like a mic stand. Someone else set up a tiny shrine with a poster that read โGod bless the Madman.โ
It wasnโt organised.
It wasnโt rehearsed.
It was pure rock โnโ roll love.

โIt is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning.

Letโs be honest โ Ozzyโs cheated death so many times, we thought he was indestructible.
- The plane crash.
- The drugs.

- Sharon yelling at him.
But this time, it was real.
