Chaos Near Oasis Manchester Gig as Fans Scrap at Heaton Park

🗓️ Sunday Night. 📍Heaton Park, Manchester. 🎸 Oasis.
You’d think the most dangerous thing about watching an Oasis gig from a distance would be the risk of a damp bum on the grass. But nah, not in Manchester, butt! This one ended in flying bottles, blue flares, and fans legging it from the chaos on what is now officially known as… Gallagher Hill. 😬

🏞️ Welcome to Gallagher Hill

For those not in the know, Gallagher Hill is a not-so-secret viewing point just outside the official ticket barrier of Heaton Park. Since Oasis announced their five-night Manchester reunion blowout, thousands of fans have descended on this slope to soak up the sound for free, picnic style.
No ticket? No problem. Just bring some cans, bog roll, and hope security looks the other way. Sorted.

But on the final night of this legendary run, things went from “top of the world” to “top of the hill scrap” faster than you can say Don’t Look Back In Anger. 🥊

🥫 From Football Chants to Flying Cans

What started as a fun, DIY fan party turned ugly when two massive groups — reportedly Man City and Man United fans — started football chanting back and forth.
As you can guess, the banter didn’t stay banter for long.

“It was two massive groups, like hundreds, mainly kids, but some adults, in almost lines or clusters opposite each other,” one witness said. “They were launching glass bottles at each other and then in the crowd. Loads of people left where I was. It went on for about half an hour. [It was] horrible.”

We’re talking cans flying, glass smashing, toilet roll soaring through the sky like budget confetti, and a couple of blue flares lighting up the skyline like it was Bonfire Night in Moss Side. 🔵🔥

🎥 Scenes Straight Outta Green Street

Clips have already flooded social media, showing fans legging it, flares going up, and some daft lads throwing camping chairs like Olympic javelins.
It was like Parklife meets WWE, all soundtracked by Liam growling through “Columbia” in the distance.

And the most ridiculous bit? None of these people even had tickets. This was all happening outside the venue. Only in Manchester, mun. 😵‍💫

💻 Twitter/X Reactions Had a Field Day

Rock Twitter did not disappoint:

🗣️ “Gallagher Hill looked like Game of Thrones, but with Fred Perry polos.”
🗣️ “Liam’s voice wasn’t the only thing tearing up the place last night.”
🗣️ “Imagine scrapping over Wonderwall in 2025. Grow up.”
🗣️ “Only Oasis fans could turn a hill into a battlefield.”

And yep… someone even made a fake Gallagher Hill gig flyer. You lot are too quick with the memes. 👏

🧹 Heaton Park Aftermath – Absolutely Wrecked

Council staff were seen shaking their heads the morning after, looking at the sea of crushed cans, broken chairs, used tissues (ew), and the remnants of blue smoke bombs.
Honestly, the hill looked like a mini version of Glastonbury’s Pyramid Field after a Prodigy set – if you replaced the crowd with feral football teens.

We’re told there were no major injuries reported, but several people were treated for cuts, bruises, and in one lad’s case… a rogue loo roll to the noggin. 🧻

🎸 Meanwhile… Inside the Gig

While the madness on the mound played out, Oasis absolutely smashed their final Heaton Park show.
The Gallagher brothers didn’t say a word about the chaos (not like they could see it through the pyros and egos), but the setlist was a stunner:

  • Rock ‘n’ Roll Star – chaos inside and out
  • Live Forever – ironic
  • Supersonic – vibes matched the energy
  • Acquiesce – when Noel and Liam pretended to get on
  • Champagne Supernova – with someone literally drinking champagne out of a shoe on the hill. 🍾👟

💭 What’s Occurring Then?

Let’s break this madness down:

  • Heaton Park legend grows
  • Fan fights over football
  • 🧨 Flares launched like fireworks at a New Year’s Eve rave
  • 🧻 Toilet roll used as weaponry
  • 🎤 Oasis once again proving they’re the kings of chaos

This wasn’t just a gig. It was a cultural event, complete with its own unlicensed battlefield. Gallagher Hill now joins the ranks of iconic UK gig spots… just don’t forget your helmet next time.

🗣️ Final Riff Verdict:

Would we sit on Gallagher Hill again?
Yes.
Would we bring a chair and some tinnies?
Absolutely.
Would we want to be caught in the crossfire of flying Blue Moon flares?
Not bloody likely.

Keep your heads down, your bog roll packed, and your football chants indoors. Oasis are back — and apparently, so is absolute mayhem.
