There are few venues on Earth capable of making even the biggest rock stars stop and say, “Blimey… that’s impressive.” But the Las Vegas Sphere has done exactly that.
And now, Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich has revealed that the heavy metal legends are seriously intrigued by the idea of taking on one of the most technologically advanced concert venues ever built.
Speaking about the spectacular venue, Lars admitted he was completely blown away after witnessing U2’s historic opening night performance, and the experience has left him dreaming about what Metallica could achieve inside the futuristic arena.
“I was there when U2 played the opening night and was awestruck, inspired, energised.”
That’s not exactly the reaction you’d expect from a man who’s spent more than four decades selling out stadiums across the globe.

For anyone who’s somehow missed the hype, the Las Vegas Sphere isn’t just another concert venue.
