Well, this is one headline we didn’t want to write, butt… Alice In Chains were forced to pull the plug on their gig at Mohegan Sun Arena, Uncasville, CT, after drummer Sean Kinney suffered a “non-life-threatening medical emergency” right after soundcheck.
The band broke the news before doors opened, leaving fans gutted but understanding: refunds at point of purchase, apologies across the board. Nobody wants to cancel a show, least of all a crew that’s kept grunge’s torch burning since the days when flannel shirts weren’t ironic.

Reports say Sean took ill just before the band hit the stage. Luckily, it’s not life-threatening, but doctors told him to take a break—and when the doc says stop, you stop. Alice In Chains have also cancelled the rest of their May 2025 dates while he recovers.
