🥇 1. Metallica – “The Mook, the Chef, the Wife, and Her Homer” (Season 18)

“METALLICA RULES!”
Bart loses Otto’s bus while trying to help the metal gods chase down their tour ride. The band end up riding off with Hans Moleman — possibly their weirdest roadie yet.

James Hetfield’s snarl, Lars’ sass, and Kirk’s chill attitude made this one a banger. They even joke about “riding the lightning… in style.” 🤘

🥈 2. Aerosmith – “Flaming Moe’s” (Season 3)

Springfield’s first rock guest stars — and still one of the best.
When Moe steals Homer’s cocktail recipe, his bar becomes the hotspot. Cue Aerosmith playing “Walk This Way” while Moe hands Steven Tyler pickled eggs.

It’s sleazy, loud, and totally 90s — exactly how we like it.

🥉 3. The Rolling Stones – “How I Spent My Strummer Vacation” (Season 14)

Rock ’n’ roll bootcamp, Springfield-style! 🤘
Mick Jagger and Keith Richards run a “Rock Camp” to teach has-beens (and Homer) how to live the dream. They’re joined by Elvis Costello, Tom Petty, and Lenny Kravitz for extra chaos.

Naturally, Homer goes full diva and ruins everything.

4. Red Hot Chili Peppers – “Krusty Gets Kancelled” (Season 4)

The Chilis guest on Krusty’s comeback show and get told to clean up their lyrics. They politely refuse and rock out anyway — because this is Springfield, not Sesame Street.

7. Green Day – The Simpsons Movie (2007)

“Green Day has been playing for three and a half hours!”
In the film’s opening, the band performs the Simpsons theme on a barge that promptly dissolves in toxic waste. Only they could go down shredding.

Homer hijacks a U2 gig to promote himself for Sanitation Commissioner, and chaos unfolds. Bono takes a bin to the face, The Edge doesn’t blink, and Larry Mullen Jr. just vibes.
