Death wasn’t just a band – it was the musical mind of one man: Chuck Schuldiner.
A guitar wizard, philosopher, lyricist, screamer, and all-around metal messiah.
He took death metal from:

to - 🧠 Existential philosophy, psychology, space, spirituality, and science.
Basically, Chuck went from “zombies eating guts” to “why are we even here, man?” and brought the heaviest riffs known to man along for the ride.
He changed everything — and never sold out once.
