Today, the world stands still. Fans across the globe are preparing to say goodbye to the one and only Ozzy Osbourne — the Madman, the Blizzard, the legend that howled at the moon and taught us all how to Bark at It.
Ozzy’s funeral procession is set to roll solemnly through the streets of Birmingham, the home of metal, the birthplace of Black Sabbath, and the beating heart of everything loud and heavy. Before a private family service, the public will get one final chance to honour the Prince of Darkness as his hearse makes its way past key landmarks — including the now-iconic Black Sabbath Bridge and Bench, where thousands have laid flowers, letters, and shot glasses full of Jack in tribute.
But this isn’t just a UK moment. This is global mourning. 🌍🖤

His writing combines honest opinions, humour, and a genuine love for live music, bringing readers closer to the bands, festivals, venues, and people that keep the scene alive.
Michael is particularly passionate about supporting independent artists, local venues, charities, and the wider UK rock and metal community. He believes every band deserves a chance to be discovered and every festival has a story worth telling. Through The Riff Report, he aims to shine a spotlight on both the biggest names in rock and the future stars waiting to break through.
