The highlight? Christine McVieβs handwritten lyrics for “Songbird”, scrawled in neat blue ballpoint on lined paper, sold for a jaw-dropping Β£85,000. Thatβs right β the same heartfelt words that closed Rumours and reduced millions to mush are now safely in the hands of one lucky (and very rich) fan.
But it didnβt stop there. Other lyric sheets from βDonβt Stopβ, βYou Make Loving Funβ, and βEverywhereβ also sold for eye-watering sums, proving once again that Fleetwood Macβs magic is timeless β and very, very valuable. π
The auction, hosted by Julienβs Auctions in Beverly Hills, also included personal items like tour jackets, gold discs, and even a vintage Stevie Nicks tambourine decorated with lace and feathers (naturally ποΈ).
Since Christine McVieβs passing in 2022, her memorabilia has taken on even more emotional weight β these pages arenβt just collectibles, theyβre pieces of music history written by a woman who gave us some of rockβs most tender moments. β€οΈ
