Numan’s influence stretches from Prince to Nine Inch Nails, from Lady Gaga to Foo Fighters. The man didn’t just write Cars β€” he basically hardwired a whole aesthetic into modern music. Proper visionary behaviour, that is.

Before the synths descend, the Bowl transforms into London’s biggest outdoor gospel celebration.
