Download Festival is packed with incredible bands every year, but every now and then a performance comes along that reminds everyone exactly why they fell in love with live music in the first place.
This year, that moment belonged to Halestorm.
The American rock powerhouse rolled into Donington Park and absolutely tore the place apart with a set packed full of monster riffs, soaring vocals, pyro that could probably be seen from space, and enough confetti to keep the Download clean-up crew busy until Christmas.

From the second Halestorm stepped onto the stage, the atmosphere changed.
Thousands of Downloaders surged forward, drinks were launched into the air, horns were raised high and the crowd erupted as Lzzy Hale took command.
The Halestorm frontwoman delivered a masterclass in rock performance, combining incredible vocals with endless energy and charisma. Whether she was belting out massive choruses or interacting with the crowd between songs, she had Donington in the palm of her hand.

Just when everyone thought things couldn’t get any more ridiculous, Halestorm decided to launch what felt like an entire warehouse worth of confetti into the air.
