🎸 By The Riff Report Blog 🤘
Oi oi, metal maniacs! 🎤 Get ready to lose your heads (and probably your voices) because W.A.S.P. – yes, the twisted shock rockers from L.A. – are storming back to the UK in July 2025 for a tour that’s louder, angrier, and more blood-soaked than your uncle’s denim vest collection. 😈
💿 Album ONE. Live. In Full. For the First Bloody Time.
That’s right, butt. The entire 1984 debut album — simply titled W.A.S.P. but packing more punch than a Cardiff mosh pit — is being performed front to back, live for the first time EVER.
We’re talkin’:
🎯 I Wanna Be Somebody
🎯 Love Machine
🎯 Sleeping (In The Fire)
🎯 The Torture Never Stops
🎯 and Hellion (because of course 🔥)
It’s the album that slapped the glam off glam metal and birthed a black-leathered beast. W.A.S.P. didn’t just crash onto the scene—they lit it on fire with a chainsaw and threw raw meat into the crowd. And now, 40 years later, they’re doing it all again. Proper job, mun. 👏
🦇 Blackie Lawless: Still Mad. Still Magic.
Frontman and metal wizard Blackie Lawless isn’t pulling any punches either. “This is the tour that showcases the album that started the long, long undying bond between the band and all the fans… It was an angry record made by an angry band,” he declared.
He also added (ominously):
“Most likely never to be repeated ever again…”
Translation: Get your arse there or forever regret it.
No livestream. No holograms. Just raw, sweat-soaked heavy fkin’ metal. 🎤🔥
🎸 The Lineup: No Posers Allowed
W.A.S.P. is bringing the big guns:
- Blackie Lawless – The ageless demon king himself
- Mike Duda – 29 years on bass and still throwing thunder
- Doug Blair – Lead shredder of 26 years, part wizard
- Aquiles Priester – Drummer so fast he might violate the Geneva Convention
This isn’t a nostalgia act, butt — it’s a full-force metal opera with the pyro, the leather, and the legacy to back it up. 🧨🦅
🎤 Expect the Classics Too, You Animals
As if playing the full debut wasn’t enough to make your jeans combust, they’re also slamming in W.A.S.P. classics from their brutal back catalogue. Think:
- Wild Child
- Blind in Texas
- Chainsaw Charlie (Murders in the New Morgue)
- Maybe even The Crimson Idol tearjerkers if you behave.
🗓️ When & Where? UK Dates Incoming!
Tour kicks off July 2025 – full venue list incoming, but expect stops in London, Manchester, Glasgow, and Cardiff (you better, Blackie. We’ll be tamping if not. 😤).
Ticket drops expected soon, and we’ll keep you updated faster than Blackie can scream “I WANNA BE SOMEBODY!”
🧛♂️ Why You Can’t Miss This
- First time playing Album One in full
- Final time it might ever happen
- 40 years of W.A.S.P. insanity on stage
- Live metal history in the making
It’s more than a gig. It’s a celebration of fury, theatrics, and outrageous rock ‘n’ roll legacy. You’ll laugh, you’ll scream, you’ll possibly get fake blood in your pint. Lush. 🍻
“W.A.S.P.’s ‘Album ONE Alive’ tour is 2025’s ultimate 80s metal throwback!” – Rock News
They said it. We believe it. You should see it.
💥 Keep your horns high and your eyeliner waterproof – it’s gonna be emotional. 💥

Michael is the founder, editor, and chief riff wrangler behind The Riff Report, an independent Welsh rock and metal publication built by fans, for fans. With a lifelong passion for loud guitars, unforgettable live shows, and the incredible community that surrounds rock and metal, he created The Riff Report to celebrate everything that makes the scene special—from legendary headline acts and grassroots venues to rising bands that deserve to be heard.
A familiar face at festivals across the UK, Michael spends much of the year covering events including Download Festival, Bloodstock Open Air, Steelhouse Festival, Firevolt, Plumpton Revival, and many more. Whether he’s battling the Welsh weather on a mountainside, surviving a weekend in a muddy campsite, or squeezed against the front barrier with thousands of fellow fans, he’s always searching for the next great story to share.
As editor of The Riff Report, Michael writes festival guides, breaking news, album reviews, gig reviews, interviews, opinion pieces, nostalgia features, and behind-the-scenes stories from across the rock and metal world. His writing combines honest opinions, humour, and a genuine love for live music, bringing readers closer to the bands, festivals, venues, and people that keep the scene alive.
Michael is particularly passionate about supporting independent artists, local venues, charities, and the wider UK rock and metal community. He believes every band deserves a chance to be discovered and every festival has a story worth telling. Through The Riff Report, he aims to shine a spotlight on both the biggest names in rock and the future stars waiting to break through.
When he’s not writing or interviewing artists, you’ll probably find him exploring festival campsites, photographing live shows, chatting with fellow fans over a pint, or planning the next road trip in search of more riffs, bigger crowds, and unforgettable moments.
Above all, Michael believes rock and metal are about more than music—they’re about community, friendship, and creating memories that last a lifetime. That’s exactly what The Riff Report exists to celebrate.
Proudly Welsh. Proudly Loud. Always chasing the next great riff. 🤘
