One man’s scam is another fan’s meltdown…

“Slip inside the eye of your scam…”

Well, this is peak 2025 madness, isn’t it? While thousands of Oasis fans were getting their bucket hats ironed and parka hoods fluffed, some absolute weapon was out here flogging fake tickets for the reunion gigs in Cardiff. And yes, butt – he’s been arrested.

We’ll say that again for the people at the back:

A man has been ARRESTED for allegedly selling FAKE OASIS TICKETS. šŸ˜±šŸŽ¤

We can’t decide what’s more shocking – that someone tried to con die-hard fans out of their gig dreams, or that people actually fell for it. Either way, someone’s definitely not gonna live forever after this.

šŸ•¶ļø Who’s the geezer?

Police say he’s a bloke from Pembrokeshire who thought he’d try his luck by posing as some VIP ticket peddler. He was promising private boxes, hospitality lounges, and probably a personal handshake from Bonehead himself (alright, maybe not that last bit).

What fans actually got?
šŸ’ø Lighter wallets.
šŸ“§ Dodgy email confirmations.
šŸ“µ And the sinking feeling of ā€œOh no, I’ve been mugged offā€¦ā€

One fan told The Riff Report:

ā€œI was ready for champagne and canapĆ©s. Instead, I got Greggs and grief.ā€
Another simply said:
ā€œI was tamping, mun. Proper job ruined.ā€

🧻 ā€œThe Box Experienceā€ = Standing Outside in Tears

Let’s be honest – if you paid hundreds of quid for a private box and ended up watching Liam’s eyebrows from outside the stadium walls, that’s not an experience. That’s a full-blown Wonder-WOE-nal.

The scam was so convincing, people thought they were getting all-inclusive luxury. Instead, they got duped harder than Noel at a brotherly hug attempt.

Some reckon 100+ people were caught out. That’s a LOT of broken dreams, soggy bucket hats, and furious dads named Dave demanding refunds from thin air.

šŸŽ© The Arrest: “Caught Beneath the Scamshine”

Thankfully, the long arm of the law got involved, and the scammer’s now facing some serious questions. Like:

  • ā€œDid you really think you’d get away with this during an Oasis reunion?ā€
  • ā€œDo you even know how feral Oasis fans can get when angry?ā€
  • ā€œCan you actually name three albums, mate?ā€

He’s been arrested on suspicion of fraud, and the investigation’s ongoing. Meanwhile, Liam Gallagher was probably backstage sipping tea, completely unaware of the chaos his existence was causing in the car parks of Cardiff.

šŸ›‘ Riff Report’s 5 Rules of Not Getting Shafted by Scammers

  1. Only buy from official sources. If your mate Dave’s cousin’s dog groomer has “spare VIPs,” run.
  2. QR codes are like exes – don’t trust them unless they’re verified.
  3. If it’s too good to be true, it’s probably as fake as Liam’s Twitter tantrums.
  4. Join proper fan resale groups – not ā€œOasis Tickets Cardiff LOLZ 2K25ā€ on Facebook.
  5. Don’t PayPal someone called ā€œNoelIsBack69.ā€ Seriously. Stop it.

šŸŽ¤ Final Words:

To the scammer, wherever you are (hopefully sweating in a cell by now):

ā€œYou’re gonna be the one that saves meā€¦ā€

From ever trusting strangers on the internet again.

You’re not a rock star. You’re not a roadie. You’re just a plonker who made people cry in a stadium car park. And that’s not very rock ā€˜n’ roll, is it?

Stay safe out there, you beautiful bunch. Buy smart. Mosh wisely. And never trust a man with a printer and a dream.
