Cardiff, July 2025 – The Principality Stadium was shaking like a bottle of cheap prosecco at a hen do this weekend, as Oasis finally returned to the stage for the first time in over 15 years — and Danny Dyer absolutely lost the plot. 🤯

We’re talkin’ big emotions, big tunes, big sideburns – and that was just Liam. From the second the band walked out to F**kin’ in the Bushes, it was pure mayhem. Lads hugging lads. Fans weeping into overpriced pints. One bloke near Gate 4 tried to name his baby “Wonderwall.” 💀

But no one — NO ONE — had a more emotional breakdown than King Danny Dyer, who’s clearly been supersonic for the Gallaghers since before Phil Mitchell could throw a punch.

😭 “I WAS SOBBING INTO ME PINT, MUN…” – THE DANNY DYER MELTDOWN

Danny, best known for EastEnders, Football Factory, and generally telling people to shut their mush, was spotted in the VIP section with eyes redder than a hot kebab lamp.

“When they hit Live Forever, that was it for me,” he admitted to nearby fans.
“I just crumbled, mate. All the years, the drama, the will-they-won’t-they — suddenly I’m there, surrounded by 70,000 nutters in Wales, singing me heart out.
I had tears in me Carlsberg. It was biblical.”

He was full Stop Crying Your Heart Out mode. Honest to God, a security guard said they offered him tissues and he said “I don’t cry for just anyone — but I cry for Liam and Noel.” 🥲

⭐ A-LISTERS GONE MAD FOR IT IN THE DIFF 🔥

Danny wasn’t the only celeb in the house either. Vicky McClure (aka Line Of Duty’s undercover MVP) was seen belting out Don’t Look Back in Anger like she was front row at Knebworth ‘96.

Vernon Kay, meanwhile, stood tall like a human periscope in a bucket hat, scanning the crowd like a proud dad at Reading Festival.

We even heard a rumour that Shirley Bassey was watching from her Cardiff penthouse with binoculars, whispering “Champagne Supernova” to herself and sipping on prosecco. Only in Wales, mun. 🍾

🏴 WELSH CHAOS REPORT – FROM THE TRENCHES

Fans travelled from all over Wales (and beyond) for this one. There were lads from Llanelli, goths from Gorseinon, and even a stag do dressed like 90s Liam in full parka and shades — in July heat — dripping sweat and shouting “Where were you while we were getting high?!”

Some highlights from the Diolch Delirium:

  • A Valleys mam got a full sleeve tattoo of Liam’s face mid-set.
  • A group from Merthyr launched a “Noel 4 PM” campaign after Little by Little.
  • One bloke missed the gig entirely ‘cos he went to the wrong Principality… in Newport. I was tamping for him!

🎶 THE SETLIST THAT BROKE US ALL (AND DANNY)

Oasis hit the stage with all the swagger of their 90s selves, but with the added bonus of not hating each other quite as much (for one night). Here’s what sent the crowd — and Danny — into meltdown:

  1. F**kin’ in the Bushes (Intro)
  2. Rock ‘n’ Roll Star 🚀
  3. Morning Glory ☀️
  4. Columbia
  5. Acquiesce (WE NEED EACH OTHER, WE BELIEVE IN ONE ANOTHER!)
  6. Cigarettes & Alcohol 💨🍺
  7. Roll With It
  8. Slide Away
  9. Some Might Say
  10. Whatever (Danny waved a lighter during this and shouted “I love you, Liam!”)
  11. Half The World Away (Dedication to Wales – crowd erupted)
  12. The Masterplan
  13. Supersonic
  14. Wonderwall (Obviously. Chaos.)
  15. Live Forever (when Danny fully lost it)
    Encore:
  16. Stop Crying Your Heart Out (Too late)
  17. Champagne Supernova (the big group hug moment)

🤘 “THAT WAS SPIRITUAL, BUTT.”

Honestly, Cardiff hasn’t seen this many tears and pints since the last time Wales got to a World Cup. Dyer summed it up best:

“It weren’t just a gig. It were a moment in time, innit? We all needed this. The band needed this. Liam needed this. I needed this. Wales fackin’ NEEDED THIS.”

And he’s right.

For one night, Oasis reminded us what it’s like to be loud, free, slightly sweaty, and surrounded by 70,000 other emotional wrecks screaming “You’re my wonderwaaaaaall!” at the top of their lungs. Tidy. 🫶

🧻 FINAL THOUGHT – BRING TISSUES TO MANCHESTER

So if you’re heading to Heaton Park next… pack a poncho, bring waterproof mascara, and maybe warn your mates. Because if Danny Dyer’s already emotionally compromised, imagine what he’ll be like when Liam does Cast No Shadow under a Mancunian sunset. 😭
